| Put a belly band on him. If he's marking, he may have to be banned from the bed.

| Jovi sleeps in the bed and after about 2 months I got a new comforter and she peed on it - I was so angry - I put a different comforter on the bed and no problem - we put the original comforter on the bed again and she peed again - talked with some people and found she may not like the down in the comforter and that is why she only pees when that comforter is on the bed? never know about those furbabies!

| He should really be sleeping in a crate/xpen. You can do belly bands if him sleeping in the bed is very important to you. If this is a new thing, it's wise to get him tested for a urinary tract infection.

| There are dozens of threads on YT about Yorkies peeing on the bed. In fact I just wrote to someone else, about this yesterday. My example is my own dog. Rubin is 8 years old neutered and 100% potty trained. He will pee on my bed quilt. This is marking. I close the bedroom door. He is not allowed in my bedroom. I am a trainer so I know I could solve this a dozen different ways. This works for me, I just close the door.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I was thinking a belly band might help as well. We do not allow Katie Scarlett to sleep with us. We let her up on the bed right before bed time to wind down and usually she will be allowed to come up there with me in the morning while I'm waking up. But she never spends the whole night. We let her sleep in her big girl bed that is set up right next to her pee pee pad that is clipped into one of those pad trays. It's right near the foot of our bed. Then her X-Pen is around it so she cannot have free range of the house at night. We also keep a water bowl in there. We've had great success and she has never peed in her big girl bed since we started this. She originally slept in her crate at night, but we were letting her 'graduate' to a big girl bed. Now she only goes in her crate to catch a nap during the day.

| There's nothing wrong with dogs sleeping in your bed. Jackson has been since he was 4 months old. But he always proved to be reliable. First, I'd rule out medical problems. Second, I'd work on training issues. If he's peeing in the bed, you need re-train. You could always put a crate or something on your night-stand (this is what I did in the beginning, because I knew he'd be in my bed eventually). If it's marking, neutering will probably help. I'm assuming he's not neutered yet? Good luck

| Dinky was doing this for a while. Honestly what worked for us is this: He pees, he spends about 3 nights in the crate next to the bed. He just sort of looked like he knew why, then he wouldn't do it for a really long time. Then it would happen, then the same routine. He has not peed on the bed for months now. If your guy continues to do it, dont' feel bad if he can't sleep in your bed. You can't do sheets every single day. Good luck! |
