| in a big city like Houston, you can't find yorkies for under $500. Believe me, I looked everyday. You might find a male yorkie for $500 but they usually average about $700-$900. $500 is very rare, as for female they can go from $1000- as much as you're willing to pay $3000 or so... I suggest you look for breeders outside of big city. I have a litter coming in about a month and a half and still trying to figure out how much to sell them for if I do decide to sell them... maybe not, maybe I just keep them all....hehehehe |

| We got Tatum in the Houston, TX area and she was $950. Huge difference from when I got my toy poodle 15 years ago for $250! But she's the healthiest, sweetest, actually laid-back (for the most part!) Yorkie I could have ever wished for - worth every penny! Some that I called on were anywhere from $700 and up but those breeders were questionable.

| Toto was the first Yorkie we had ever seen except for pictures! We did a lot of research and my Patrick searched all over the US for her. We finally found her in Marietta, GA [near Atlanta] and bought her on October 21, 2003. She is purebred and has a pretty impressive pedigree. Her Dad, Wyatt, was the Yorkie that competed in the finals this year at both the Nationals in Tampa and Westminster in New York! He was also the "Top Yorkie" in the US for 2004! Toto was showing a lot of potential except for her size ... noone ever dreamed she would weigh 3 lbs. We didn't want a show dog ... just a sweet pet! We convinced Ava that we would give her a very good home and she agreed to let us buy her ... although she has indeed exceeded the 3 lbs., I don't think Ava has regretted letting us buy her! [We don't "share" what the cost was ... the cost didn't matter ... what mattered to us was the committment we made to Toto!!] Toto is our absolute joy and our lives [yes, Patrick too!!] totally revolve around her!!

| I paid $400.00 for Tiki, about 30 years ago. $600.00 for Miescha and Shaddow, 15 years ago, and Raisin cost me $700.00. I will be getting Jasmine in 6 to 8 weeks and will pay $1500.00. This is all from the same breeder, whom I trust implicitly. I have always got the most perfect and loving Yorkies from him. Jasmine is now only 6 weeks yesterday and I go to see her every Sunday and spend some time with her. She is still no bigger than a mouse, and only last week finally put on a small belly. I sat her on the bed so I could get a closer look at her and her little tail was wagging, hard to say if it was because she recognized me, but it sure was cute! All my little girls were less than 3 lbs., and I think this one could actually be smaller, though I will know better by the time she is about 12 weeks. I first saw her at 3 weeks and her little legs were thinner than tooth picks, though when I saw her the next week she had grown the bones in her legs. Jasmine at 4 weeks has been eating on her own, which accounts for the tummy. This is the first time I have ever gotten the pick, as well as have had the opportunity to visit as she grows and develops. I wonder if, or how much of a difference it will make in her adjustment and development. As you might realize I am looking forward to bringing her home. There is also a little male there that is just adorable that I am thinking of also taking. He is even smaller than Jasmine, which is amazing, but he is spectacular! He has been giving kisses from the time I saw him at 3 weeks, and is always with Jasmine cleaning her and loving her. They would make quite a pair! An expensive pair though unless he will give me a deal on 2. I don’t think I will ever breed Jasmine, though he would make an excellent stud! Decisions, decisions. |

| when I got my yorkie over a year ago... I didn't know that this many people love them as much as I do. Now when I look in the papers.. there are always 12-15 listings each and everyday under the pet section of the Houstonchronicle, this tells me that the demand for yorkies is going up so are the prices... some as high as $2500. ANd the thing is that people are willing to pay that much and even more for a yorkie... that just amaze me... so what are the demographic for a potential yorkie owner??? I see alot of star, rich and famous people with yorkie while watching M.T.V crib. But for the common people.. who out there willing to pony up $2000 for a dog???? | I paid $850 for Milo. Now while looking for a 2nd, every ad I have called so far is a lie@!! They'll say, $900.00 then when you call they'll say it was a misprint. The other one's tend to be an auction. I was so suprised that they only want a puppy to go to the highest bidder. I look at the paper everyday, so far no luck. I am aprihensive to buy over the internet, but I feel like the best luck we'll have is outta state.

| I paid $800.00 for Pita in Coral Springs, FL. There were some in the same town for $500.00 but their ears weren't standing up. Girls cost more, the boys in Pita's litter were $750.00. I would've paid up to $1,000.00. Don't tell anyone |

| Wow! I feel like I might have gotten taken advantage of! I am picking up a male Yorkie in 2 weeks & I paid $1600 for him! I couldn't find anything cheaper (that I trusted) and I looked for almost 2 months! I paid $400 for Biddy last year, but she is half Jack Russel. |

| Well i bought Baby last August and she was $500, however she had a hernia, which is why I got her cheap due to the fact that she had to have corrective surgery during her spay, and I could not breed her. BUt to me it didn't make a difference. I have not seen females under $750 in Michigan or Indiana, so I was happy to get my Baby for $500, even with the surgery. She is just wonderful! |

| I received Meeko for my birthday this past year (2004). My husband surprised me with him. I've been wanting a Yorkie for years now and just never got the nerve to buy one. He paid $ 1400.00 for him. That is quite expensive in comparison to everyone else's, but in my books he is quite worth it.
