| If its just scraped you can put some neosporin on it . But if its a cut I would take her to the vet. I once cut my poor dogs leg and it was cut bad she needed 3 stitches. this was years ago, but I felt so bad. |

| Help When I have done this in the past to my dog. I cleaned it with alittle hydrogen peroxide and put a small amount of Neosporian on it to help it not get infected. Hope this helps

| I'm sorry If she isn't bleeding then she should be fine! I would just clean it with a warm cotton ball and put some neosporin on it. I was cutting some mats off of Bailey and Charlie a few nights ago when they were sleeping, little tiny ones that were on thier tummys and private areas...I did it while they were sleeping in my lap on their backs but was scared the whole time that they would flinch and I'd cut them. Don't feel bad...I can see how that could easily happen!!! She will be fine

| as far as preventing infection.........clean it with sterile water...with a few grains of salt added ...(not a lot)....boil the water , let cool down (with a few grains of salt)......cleanse 2-3 times a day! I know my sister's dog had a cut (superficial) and the vet recommended antibiotic cream....same you buy over the counter ( ask pharmacist)........he said to put a thin layer as if you put too much.....Puppy will lick off! Just watch for infection.....redness, warmth, any purulent drainage &/or swelling to same area!......Hope this helps a bit!!
