For the $70 you spent on meds that might not even be necessary you could have gotten an x-ray. Just because the vet palpates the vet doesn't and she doesn't make a sound doesn't mean its not broken. mom, hubby, sister... I don't know how old you are, who you are living with, or what your situation is but if Amara is your dog take some responsibility.

| While I agree with everyone about you needing to take initiative, I do understand that when the finances aren't yours it's hard to really take care of things. I too, do not know your living/financial situation, but i think should anything start to look even the slightest uncharacteristic you should take her back or to a diff vet. X-rays are expensive, but taking care of your baby and the peace of mind is priceless. Prayers for your baby

| Why do people get dogs when they cant afford to take care of them? This is a serious question. This dog needs xrays and waiting and waiting could make the problem more expensive or very hard to fix and she probably is not comfortable and possibly hurting.

| I have worked at a vet clinic for a very long time, and Veterinarians cant say the bone is not broken just by feeling. Scary, this would make me worry so much. Just curious, why is it your dog? But you dont take financial responsiblity for her? I hope nothing is broken, and even when dogs dont scream that doesnt mean they arent in pain, or that its not broken. I had my first dog when i was 16 and she cost me 3000 dollars her first year of life. IT was hard, but i took full responsiblity and paid for everything. I had to make payments, but that was fine with me. When i took ownership of her, i knew no matter what happened i would do everything she needed to be healthy and happy. And that meant all my money going toward her bills. And not spending any on my self. But i owed it to her. They cant tell you whats wrong, so its up to us to take them for the proper vet care when things happen. What will you do if something more severe happens? How will you pay for it? Or your mother? Sometimes things happen and its an emergency and it cant wait... then what will you do? |

| oh! and might I add that pet insurance is as little as $26 a month, situations like this could be helped as x-rays are generally covered. Just a thought
