Ok one of my maniacs ate a half a loaf of bread AND the plastic bag!!!!!

I think you should realize how much people care and how intense their concern is.

Although I did call someone something similar for breeding a beagle with a small Yorkie female...sometimes the show just fits IMHO but nevertheless not appropriate on here. She didn't exactly call you an idiot though and may have misread what you said thinking you were calling me one...I think she misunderstood and was responding to it that way.

If I had four I'd know that in an emergency you might have to take four to the vet. I know if mine get into something I'll have 3 to take to the vet and three vet bills...

Although I do agree. The OP is a long time member here, and would know the kind of response she would get. So I'm wondering why she posted in the first place. I have had instances that have happened with me, that all turned out for the good, but did I post it on YT for all to see? No.

I didn't have a story to change I said what i saw, and what happened. Boy ,oh boy, you would think I'm on trial here. Excuse me for starting a thread. Damn!!!

I said I think it was Trixie. I don't know if maybe she pulled some of the bread down onto the floor and they all had some. I don't know. I also didn't say it was an emergency or "dramatic"

If you go read the thread about the crazy things they eat you will not be too concerned about the small pieces of plastic that my guys ate. My mother in law told me that her dog ate a whole wonder bread bag. ....It came out the other end!!! whole!!!

And yes she called me an idiot!!! plain as day. Don't twist it!! There is no need to call me names. Are we all in elementary school and have been reduced to name calling?? I don't care how concerned you people are about my dogs...There is no need for name calling. It is just not proper on this forum and I hope she gets banned. If I just blurted everything I thought about some people on here I would have been banned a long time ago. But...we all have to play nice and she was not nice. period!

What where you looking for in this thread? I thought I was being neutral and civil to you. In fact, I did say that the name calling was uncalled for. If you were looking for laughs, again, I would have waited until after the fact, then posting in the strange poop thread, or the poop had eyes thread. That's what I would have done.

While I'd be concerned with plastic, I wouldn't be so much so with the bread, unless you have a dog with G.I. issues. When ZoE nabbed a piece of KFC (chicken...bones 'n' all), her vet told me to feed her bread and she ate three whole slices.

Honestly, I would be weary of my vet if he told me that. Bread for what? To cushion the sharp shards of shattered chicken bone? Soft bread won't help there.

Yup, I've heard of doing that with bread before. I highly doubt some bread would hurt a dog, I also wouldn't be too worried about that part of it. Unless, of course, you have a dog with an illness or GI issues, etc.

Jackson has probably eaten more plastic than I care to admit. He has a tendency to find the TINIEST piece of whatever and he used to swallow it when I'd come to take it from him. Then I'd find it in his poop It was usually from kids toys laying on the ground, he also always finds caps from water bottles, etc, but thank goodness in the past year, he's gotten over the swallowing part, but yeah... I suppose if I had come running onto YT every time he swallowed a piece of plastic, I think ppl would have ripped me apart. But hey stuff happens.... especially when it comes to dogs and eating stupid stuff. It's hard to gauge a situation when you are reading on the internet, don't know the dogs and what they have/haven't eaten in the past, how the owner reacts to things in general, etc.

Yes! To do exactly that! It turns out it's common practice and many other YT members gave me that same advice from their previous experiences. Then my vet called me with minutes of leaving him a message and said exactly the same thing.

I don't get how bread could cushion sharp bones shards. It turns to mush once it's chewed. I guess maybe I am overreacting then, bc Uni doesn't eat weird stuff. The weirdest thing I've found in her poop were her baby teeth.

I just want to clarify that if I thought any of my babies were in danger, I wouldn't be here talking about it!!! I would be at the ER in a minute. I know they are fine by how they are acting. Whoever it was did not eat the bag whole. It was ripped into small pieced because I found some of them on the floor.
