| I too am just loving this thread. We need more of this on YT! These little stories telling about our Yorkies is what I thought YT was going to be when I joined that first day. Then I learned it is that and so much more. But stories like these are what I was looking for when I found YT one day in March of this year. Tibbe's obsession is the spot on the pillow next to me, whether I'm in the bed or lying or sitting on the couch. He works indefatigably to get to that area - whether the pillow is propped up against the end of the couch and he can't really fit onto it due to the slant or whether I'm lying down in the bed and lying on that end myself. He will stand in front of me in the den or stand right by me in bed - quietly for the longest time should I be silly enough to try to ignore him and then chirping some and then outright bossy growling at me until I make a place for him to curl up there. And once he's achieved his spot on the pillow, he lets out the biggest sigh you have ever head! It is the one thing in life he is constantly working for all the time unless he is otherwise busy or lying on his Cloud 9, in the den window, etc. He has other places he sleeps and naps it is true, but several times of every day I have had him, Tibbe is "working" on me to get to that spot next to me. Sometimes my computer is setting on the couch arm and with the big couch pillow propped up against the arm, there may be about 3" from the pillow to the computer hanging over the arm. Tibbe will squeeze his way into that tiny place somehow even though it is warm from the computer and even though there really isn't room for anything to fit there, let alone a Yorkie. Yet when he wedges in there, I always hear the sigh of achievement! In bed, if I am using the end of the pillow he wants to be on, he will just flat out bully me into repositioning myself so he can ascend to the pillow and sleep right there, always with the big sigh once he's in position. Why the bed itself isn't good enough, I do not know. He has slept on the bed some nights but only when I went to sleep during a bullying session! That dog has from Day 1 wanted to be right next to me and up on whatever pillow I am propped up against or lying on and simply nothing else will do. It just amazes me that he won't let it go after 3 years of living here and having access to lying on or near me in many other ways. No, got to be up on the pillow next to me. Nights when I watch TV in the den and lie down on the couch using the big couch pillow, Tibbe cannot rest until his butt is firmly in my face lying on that pillow and watching TV. And each night when we go to bed, I know my determined Yorkie will be vying for his right to a portion of the pillow I sleep on. Why that is soooo important to this Yorkie I live life with I will never understand but Tibbe seems happiest in life sharing a pillow.

| Thank you! Lovely, funny stories aren't they?! I realise it's vitally important, first and foremost, to be able to come here and get information and answers. But, just sometimes, it's good (for us!) to read about the 'lighter' side of everyday life - and all the mad, sweet, loving things that our littlies do Sally + Harry x |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Oh my gosh! I just LOVED reading this thread!!! All of these stories just made me giggle! I can just imagine! Being a newer Yorkie Mom I am just discovering how funny these Yorkies are! I know we still have a lot to discover but the weirdest thing that Katie Scarlett does right now is her obsession with bubble wrap. Whenever we get a package in the mail or some falls out of a drawer in my scrappy space she goes nuts. She thinks she has to have it. Of course I supervise her, but I let her have it for a bit. She will come over and look up at me first. I guess she is waiting on me to give her the go ahead. I tell her 'take it' and she will scoop it up and take about 5 trips around the room in circles with it in her mouth. She then will lay it on the floor and if it rolls up at the edge, she thinks she just has to have it straight. So she'll paw at it and get it all smooth. She is such a girl! She cracks me up! She has to have it all just so so. So she'll fix it and lay down for like 2 seconds on it and then she repeats the whole process over again. She'll run with it and it just cracks me up. Then after a few times, she'll lay down on it and fall asleep. I guess it's like her version of one of those memory foam mattresses! LOL. She does this with blankets too. She thinks she has to have them just so so before she lays down to sleep. She has 2 blankets that my Mother gave her. She had each blanket monogrammed with her initials and she has to lay her face on the monogramming. It's like she knows that they are just for her! This girl! I swear! She is such a little pampered princess! One more thing she does it put herself in 'time out.' For example, when I am in my scrapbook studio, she is in there with me. But to keep her out of trouble, I set her up in her xpen. Well she isn't too crazy about it and even though she can see me at all times, she still wants to be right there with me. So she may get a bit rambunctious and bark a little too much. So I'll say 'Katie Scarlett, Enough' and if that doesn't work, I just pick up my Coca Cola can with the pennies in it. I don't even have to shake it anymore, she knows it by sight. And she knows when Momma picks up the can, she better behave. So she'll go and put herself in time out in her bed. She'll lay there for at least 15 minutes like she knows she got into trouble. She is so funny! I always love on her when she comes out though.
