| No I'm not close minded I definitely understand your concern. But there are lots of homes where small dogs and big dogs live their lives happily til the end and are the best of friends. I have known a shihtzu that ripped a hole in the cheeck of a sleeping 3rd old because he was crawling. So yes all dogs can be dangerous. If you're trying to just tell me that even the nicest dogs can turn mean then does that include any breed? If I said I was going to get sayyyy a schnauzer, 20lb yorkie, a toy poodle, would you still have warned me?

| Well I also would never bring a dog into my house if I thought it would kill, So I guess that solves this

| Awww that's awesome I wanted a puppy when I was looking for Maci but found out we couldn't have dogs in our complex that were under 6 mnths old/not fixed due to new carpeting and flooring. Maci has been wonderful though we love her TONS. Goodluck with your girl and post pics!

| Well I am happy for you! I hope it all works out for the best! I think it is great you want to adopt a dog that needs a home- it sounds like you are a responsable owner and know the dangers of a big dog ( no matter the breed a big dog is a big dog ) with a small dog. Sounds like you are on the right path! Good luck, can't wait to see some pics of the new family!

| Yay! I am so glad things went well and they got along great! As long as you take the proper responsibilities, ie. not leaving them alone together, etc.., I think you will be fine! Can't wait to see your Christmas card! I am excited to take my pic with Lucky for the YT card swap!

| Well I have no judgements just glad the meeting went well. Only you know what it is right for your family and I think you will be a very strong pack leader.

| Thanks for the support guys! We are pretty much 100% sure we want him, we're going to take him on Monday and go from there. We know the owner and the dog so I'm really not worried about the dogs getting along, or us not liking him, we already love him! I'm more worried about him feeling couped up/bored in an apartment until we move in the Spring... I bought him some boots so we can take walks and go to the park hahaha.... should be interesting, they're pink too. :P She offered to keep him for us until Spring when we move if we feel he is too couped up, but we will have to see. He is fairly mellow, so it might actually be totally fine! We'll post pics Monday and a li'l update about our first day!
