| ![]() There are SO many pet peeves that I have developed after Chloe became a part of my life. One of my pet peeves is being educated by others about my dog. I have been told that she can eat any food provided it's safe for humans. I have been enlightened regarding her need for attention and told that she needs to learn to be less needy. I have been told that I shouldn't allow her to hump her bunny toy as that's bad behavior that I should be breaking her of. I can't count the number of times I have been informed about Yorkies in general despite the fact that those informing me have never owned a yorkie and some have never owned a dog. I have heard so many times that my concern regarding to Chloes diet is neurotic and that I should just dump kibble in a bowl because if she gets hungry enough she'll eat it. Even worse I have been told that I should just soley feed her table scraps. Of course these are just the comments I can remember but it drives me nuts that inspite of having no way to back up their beliefs they insist they are right. Another peeve is when I hear "I have a little boy dog and we should let them mate, the puppies would be so cute!" When I politely say I won't be breeding Chloe some people actually act as if I am being greedy or rude. I was once even angrily told "Thats so selfish, it's not like I have a boy and a girl and it would be nice if my dog could have puppies!" I couldn't believe that one! I have heard that my in-laws think I am too devoted to Chloe and that it's weird. We were trying to get the family together to rent a cottage and my sister-in-law asked if I was bringing Chloe. My DH said Chloe would be coming and she said "Oh great so I'll be stuck listening to her baby talk the dog all week! She even went so far as to say that she was considering not going as she hates how I fawn over Chloe. So my DH and I are renting a pop up trailer and going to spend a week at Algonquin Park lol. Thankfully my DH and close friends think that Chloe is just wonderful and my DH thinks that the way I am towards Chloe is adorable, his words lol. It's just so frustrating to feel like I need to defend my right to adore my little girl and to shower her with llove and affection. I just don't understand why people would be so annoyed because someone loves their dog.

| ![]() I think you covered the good ones. I have a friend who I have been trying to educate regarding feeing raw to her yorkie as she has urinary crystals. She tells me her dog has a sensitive system and can't see her doing that but feeds her spaghetti and tandoori chicken |

I told her don't you bloody dare lady, I do not feed them from the table and I certainly do not feed them that. She thought I was being mean to them and gave it to her dog instead. I do feed the boys scrambled egg, in a dried pan with absolutely no seasoning and they love their "eggies" The only human food they ever get is a teeny bit of cheese in their bowls and raw steak or lamb chop if I'm having it for my dinner, otherwise it's raw rabbit tripe and chicken | |

| ![]() This is the worst I've ever come across: I had Gizmo at the dog park and a lady kept asking me if I wanted to breed him. She went on and on about how much money we could make and how I could have the pick of the litter. She left me a long after I told her Gizmo was already neutered. I was embarrassed for her. |

| ![]() I get ticked at people having opinions about me dressing my dogs. Really? Are those stilettos (20 inch rims) on your car? Back off, I dressed my Barbies too. The GALL LOL. I can't get why people care. I honestly believe it people minded their own business this world would be so much better. Oh and why must small dogs be poop eaters? But they don't say poop. I insist on making people explain their question so they feel stupid. Soooo...all dogs eat poo? Oh only my dog? No? Only little dogs? Oh wait, YOUR DOG? No? Then what does that mean I don't get it, why would you call it sh..t eater if it doesn't eat it? LOL yeah they hate that like I hate stupidity. I can do it with the quizzical Yorkie head turn as well. Ha

| ![]() Ok, so today was a bad day for my pet peeves lol... They all seemed to come at me at the same time. Bentley got called a rat, half retarded(since one ear is half floppy), and worthless... Then i got told how big he would be, and got told that his black will be silver, and his tan would be WHITE..?? Then that he needed to go to the groomer every 3 months to do sanitary trim and get dipped and nails clipped.... This was ALL said by someone who has never owned a yorkie!! I mean i know im no expert, but my goodness!! Also bentley met my elderly grandmother(who has alzheimers and dimentia). I love her to death. But i really couldnt help but get a little mad when he was on the couch jumping around and she grabbed him and was tryingtohold him down with both hands. I said no grandma hes ok just let him be. So she picks him up by the scruff of the neck and throws him onthe floor... MY JAW DROPPED....i cuddled him for a while and all is well. I dont think he was really phased because he was just so excited.. But it scared me!! :/

| ![]() Picking up by the scruff looks worse than it is. I'd put him a carrier next time you go to see your grandma.
