Of course these are just the comments I can remember but it drives me nuts that inspite of having no way to back up their beliefs they insist they are right.
Another peeve is when I hear "I have a little boy dog and we should let them mate, the puppies would be so cute!" When I politely say I won't be breeding Chloe some people actually act as if I am being greedy or rude. I was once even angrily told "Thats so selfish, it's not like I have a boy and a girl and it would be nice if my dog could have puppies!" I couldn't believe that one!
I have heard that my in-laws think I am too devoted to Chloe and that it's weird. We were trying to get the family together to rent a cottage and my sister-in-law asked if I was bringing Chloe. My DH said Chloe would be coming and she said "Oh great so I'll be stuck listening to her baby talk the dog all week! She even went so far as to say that she was considering not going as she hates how I fawn over Chloe. So my DH and I are renting a pop up trailer and going to spend a week at Algonquin Park lol.
Thankfully my DH and close friends think that Chloe is just wonderful and my DH thinks that the way I am towards Chloe is adorable, his words lol. It's just so frustrating to feel like I need to defend my right to adore my little girl and to shower her with llove and affection. I just don't understand why people would be so annoyed because someone loves their dog. |
