The vet is shocked. Neither one even remotely suspensioned parvo. We took him back to the er vet where they are going to treat him aggressively over the weekend. He has not had diarrhea at all which apparently one of the first signs. Now he has an huge incision down his tummy to boot. They didn't sound very optimistic. I can't quit crying. He told us the immunization company would be liable for all his bills which are already at 2000. He is insured as well. I dont really care what it cost though..... I just want my baby boy to be ok....

You poor things! But it really does sound like he's in the best place that he can be with all the lifesystems support he'll require while he is fighting this. You will stay in our prayers.

Oh Kendra I am so sorry! This is just shocking to say the least that he was diagnosed with Parvo and fully vaccinated. My heart is breaking for you. Know you are all praying and pulling for him. Please keep us updated on how he is doing.

I wouldn't worry about them being optomistic, my vet has no personality whatsoever good or bad news. But I'm gald they're being aggressive and going to try to get this under control. Still sending prayers and hugs your way. Keep us updated on Mr. Mac Brown!

Oh Kendra I am so sorry that Mack is having to go through so much

I am praying that with the aggressive treatment he will be ok. He is a little fighter and will pull through this. We are all praying hard for you special little boy.

I am so very sorry to hear about all Mack has -and is - going through. Have you had Bevo tested? From what I've read, it is HIGHLY contagious. Prayers for you and Mack.

The vet said the odds of a pup getting parvo after being immunized is rare.... The likeliness Bevo or bryleigh will get it is even smaller. I am in the process right now of bleaching my house from floor to ceiling. I asked about bringing Bevo and bryleigh in for a test, but they said unless the virus was active, it will say negative. We are going to watch them like a hawk and if they show even a blinking of their eyes wrong, I will immediately take them in...

I just called and checked on Mack again. They said he is sleeping and hasn't vomited and STILL no diareah. If the vet hadn't found the bloody stool in his colon while looking for an obstruction, we probably still wouldn't know what was wrong. Poor little guy.... He still has stitches in his paws and you know where from his surgery last week, and now his tummy has a million more. I just want to hold him....

Just checking back in.....OMG so sorry Little Man Brown has parvo

Hopefully you all caught it in time and he will pull through!! I've know a couple dogs who have survived parvo! I've never heard of them getting it after being fully vaccinated though!

Prayers and warm hugs coming for you and Little Mack! Praying our hearts out and cashing in all our good deeds!!
