| This is great news! If you still have a problem with him drinking his liquids, I have a trick you might try. I make fresh broth with chicken tenders and a little parsley and I haven't had one yet that doesn't lap it up. I keep it in the freezer in very small quantities ... ice trays work great and just take out what you need. Just a couple of tablespoons at short intervals and in between offer a little bit of water until the water is accepted. Will continue to keep little Mack in our prayers.

| Kendra I am thinking I need to add the story of Mac Brown to my book Just Right Yorkie Stories . Look how many people have fallen in love with him. He is just so special to us. We all want him to live a long happy, healthy life. He is our 'little dog of hope' when we are faced with not so good news. People will say, Mac Brown had everything against him, except love and he made it just fine. Love and hugs, Teresa

Neither am I! I just take a thawed bag of [Tyson or any brand] chicken tenders and thaw, wash and put them on the stove with about 3-4 bottles of spring water [or water of choice] and add a tablespoon or two chopped fresh parsley. If I don't have time, I just throw in about a half tablespoon of the dehydrated parsley. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for an hour or so. You can probably use any chicken you want but I always use chicken tenders or chicken breast because I don't want any more fat than absolutely necessary. When it's finished, just let it cool and try it. The chicken can be used for chicken salad, chicken & rice casserole or any other chicken dish for humans or just freeze it for use later. I also freeze the broth to either use in cooking or to keep on hand for Toto. My husband says I am more particular with food, etc. for Toto than I am what he eats. ![]() I hope little Mack Brown will like it ... and BTW, he will thrive when you get him back home. Toto's vet always says, "there's no medicine like Mom's lap"!

| Just was checking to see how He was doing. My heart also dropped when I read the "wrong line" update. Said a little prayer for the other owners too. Glad to hear things are looking better. You have one tough guy on your hands with some serious determination to stay with his family!!! |
