Exactly how I feel, and that is what I have done with my Belle. (However, there was a day that I trimmed off the black ends of her coat and I wish I hadn't)

| I Groom Riley at home, myself.... Have heard way to many horror stories. I got a couple of different books and videos... He is extremely comfortable with me and lets me do anything to him.... I do swing him by a vet office for an occassional nail trim. I just recently purchased some nail trimmers, but am too nervous to do it myself just yet. |

| Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Katie Scarlett is almost 15 weeks and hasn't been yet. I am thinking that once her shots are finished, I would like to go in for a little trim. She definitely needs her undercarriage trimmed. LOL. We do regular butt/woo woo baths as we call it (you'll have to excuse our terminology...haha), but her hair down there is getting a little on the long side. I have been trying to get her used to the grooming experience though. We brush 2, sometimes 3 times per day. I regularly touch her ears, all paws, and give her massage so she is getting used to hands on her. I also have let her hear the hum of a shaver. I use one of those Lady Remington electric razors on my legs and it sounds sort of like the ones they use at the groomer, so I have let her investigate that noise. I hope she'll be ready for her first groom.
