Ok, who coined the term 'the zoomies?'

I think puppy zoomies are one of the funest things to see.

I don't know where it came from either, but I sure love the term. There can't be a better word than 'zoomies' to describe the activity. I've never figured out what triggers it, but have sure enjoyed it. We got to enjoy it more when Roxy was just a pup, but she still has the zoomies off and on. Gotta luv it!!! lol!

Zoomies are the best!!! Trixie doesn't get them as often as she did as a puppy....mostly after her baths now or when she has a playdate with my friend's morkie. I just have to laugh when she has them.....one more reason to love her!!!

I saw an article about the "Zoomies" in Dog magazine. It said a pup will get the zoomies at night, so it will ware itself out so it can sleep. Seems to work at my house

she has the zoomies at about 6am, 11am, 3pm, and 7pm, then i have to join her on a zoomie round block at about 11pm before she has me satisfactorily tired out before bed... when she will wait for me to fall asleep...... AND JUMP ON MY FACE!

I too do not know who/how the term "Zoomies" got started, but...
I can personally take "credit" for the term "twirlidoos"

I can't wait to tell my best friend there's a word for it!!
Once she called me .. frantic.. at 1am because she was watching Tashi and said "I don't know if she's ok, she's running around from room to room faster than you would believe, I'm not sure if she's freaking out, is she ok !?!?"

I had to tell her that this was a normal thing she does from time to time.. but tomorrow I'm going to call her and tell her that I learned on YT it's called "the zoomies"!!

hahaha The Zoomies! Gotta love em! Dolce used to do this all the time in the evenings before bed. Now that we have Bentley, she likes to do zoomies a LOT more so that he will chase her! It seems like they are racing around about once an hour lol. Sometimes I think all the energy that little puppy Bentley has, wears her out a little bit haha. She has to stop and jump on the couch to take breaks (Bentley is not big enough to jump on the couch yet, and I don't allow him up there yet cuz he is not potty trained well enough yet. Had an accident on the couch once lol). She knows he can't get up there and when she needs to rest she will get up on the couch and lay down staring down at him haha. Its so funny

Chewie mostly gets after-bath zoomies now. It's hilarious, but not nearly as funny as when his "cousin" Murphy comes to visit and they get going. (Murphy is a 70-lb. boxer) When that happens, I just stay outta the way!!
