| Zanesville, Ohio Good afternoon everybody I've just been reading on Yahoo News about grizzly + black bears, cheetahs, lions and tigers on the loose in your town - which of course got me worrying about you all, and all your animals of course! How is everything there? Sally + Harry x |

Exotic Animals On The Loose In Ohio After Park Owner Found Dead | Fox News This is crazy! They've closed the schools and people are being told to not go outside. I guess the owner of the wild animal preserve was found shot to death and all the cages had been opened. The owner was convicted of some type of animal abuse in 2005. The U.S. Department of Agriculture had revoked his license to exhibit animals after animal-welfare activists campaigned for him to stop letting people wrestle with another one of his bears. Please God don't let this be the handiwork some animal rights nut. The police have orders to shoot on sight. I heard on the radio this morning tranquilizing animals this large (lions, tigers, bears, wolves, etc) takes some minutes for the tranquilizers to work, so they are just killing them all because they think it's best for public safety.

| Yes, I was reading all about that, too. What made me worry, is that I realise you all have to worry about hawks and possums and stuff with the littlies around so the people there must be terrified at the moment? Sally + Harry x |

| It really is just devastating when you see the photos of all the animals that were killed. I know it was dark and they could take no chances but I sure wish there had been another way. I'm not that close to Zanesville and I can imagine that folks were worried, but I'm just sickened when I see all those dead, beautiful animals. WTH they were doing in Zanesville, OH - it's just ridiculous

| I just posted on the other thread that this country has just got to ban exotic animal ownership, no exceptions.
