This is crazy! They've closed the schools and people are being told to not go outside. I guess the owner of the wild animal preserve was found shot to death and all the cages had been opened. The owner was convicted of some type of animal abuse in 2005. The U.S. Department of Agriculture had revoked his license to exhibit animals after animal-welfare activists campaigned for him to stop letting people wrestle with another one of his bears.
Please God don't let this be the handiwork some animal rights nut. The police have orders to shoot on sight. I heard on the radio this morning tranquilizing animals this large (lions, tigers, bears, wolves, etc) takes some minutes for the tranquilizers to work, so they are just killing them all because they think it's best for public safety.
