| Floppy ears My pup has gone from erect ears to floppy ears and back and forth again. . And, I know this is normal. My question is: Have any of you chosen to leave your Yorkie's ears floppy. I really like mine better flopped over. He is certainly much cutier. However, my puppy has ears that are "huge." And, I really don't think ears the size of his are very attractive. I swear - if he ever weighs 10 pounds, 5 pounds of it will be his ears. What do you think??? And - of course, my puppy is a pet ---not a show dog. I plan to keep him in a puppy cut ---- always. When he's grown and I take him out and around people who know their Yorkies, one of two things will be said: 1) Oh -- you didn't train his ears to stand up like they should. 2) Or, Wow - those are the biggest ears I have ever seen. Or --------------- maybe puppies grown into their ears???? |

| I chose to keep Jeters ears floppy. I love them that way. The breeder told me how to make them stand, but I didn't follow her directions. Like you, I am not showing him, so I chose what I liked. |

| My Nikko has one ear that is flopped over and one that stands up. i personally think he looks adorable and don't really care that it is floppy. (like you, I don't want a show dog, just a companion). You could always tape them back if they bother you, but personally I think it gives them a unique personality

| My dog's first Thanksgiving First Thanksgiving --- and he did great - had the time of his life. I had a small gathering - only about 9 people (and no small children). But Murphy (his name this week) loved every minute of it (except when he took a nap). He and his friend, Louie the Bichon, certainly did get some turkey - not a lot. and wow - did they love that!!!!! I have fed my dogs turkey for more than 50 years - I don't let them pig out. They would eat until they burst, and I think it's a little rich for them. Before the evening ended, Murphy put on his new pajamas and was the hit of the day ----totally adored by everyone ----men and women alike. Often, men aren't too crazy about "little dogs" -- but all the men at my house wanted to take Murphy home. After all -- how cute can you get!! Louie the Bichon did just fine too. He played with the puppy and showed everyone how much he loves it, and he got his fair share of hugs and kisses too. Hope the rest of you and your puppies had a great day also. Carol Jean |

| One ear flops Caesar has his right ear that flops. Sometimes both ears flop. I REALLY REALLY love it when they both flop. Here are some pictures for you to see!! The last one, both of his ears are standing. I think he was cold in this picture...but it looks so funny!!! The first one is of one of his ears standing. The middle one is of both flopped over!! I hope you enjoy them as much as me!! |

| Fang's ears both stand up all the time, and Errol's are both floppy all the time. I love them both. I think Errol is absolutely adorable with floppy ears. And, of course, I think Fang is just as cute with his ears that stand up. I say let them do what they want to do!
