I was told in the past to try neutral ground; however, with Mikki it just didn't work that way. I just had to bring her home. The first week was rough. I am not going to lie about it. I really thought I had made a mistake. Rosie was ticked off and made sure we all knew it. ![]() I sent a member here a PM about having two females and she said "you can make it work". I think as long as you give Gidget the attention she is used to while bringing in the new pup it will all end up working out. I did everything with Rosie first. I would pick her up first, fed her first, etc. I was told that would help because she was used to that while Mikki was not. If your heart tells you to get this pup you can make it work out. You may have a few rough days but I am sure it will end up being ok. I will be thinking of you through this decision. I know it is not an easy one to make. But on the positive side, it sure it nice waking up to two Yorkie kisses!! ![]()

| ![]() I'm hoping that you keep posting all through this process. I am constantly back & forth on whether to get another yorkie or not. Being on here is terrible sometimes...I see photos of those with a couple of pups and they look so cute together and that just gets me thinking about how cute it would be to have two together, especially as I have alot of matching clothes as I bought ZoE things & then she grew bigger than I expected & I bought the same stuff in a bigger size. But, I'm holding off. I think I need to step back and really think about whether I want another dog and all that it entales, and not just for how great the photos ops would be & the cuteness factor of taking two out & about. I'm not concerned about the cost of having two, but I do worry that how it would affect my ability to go out & travel with them. I take ZoE pretty much everywhere but work. She goes on all my errands, visits friends for lunch, goes to cookouts/bonfires, etc. I wonder how much more difficult it would be with two, and if its too much of an imposition to expect others to welcome two into the gatherings & homes. Or would that not be an issue, because if you left them at home more at least they'd have company. As you can probably tell....I'm still not there yet...got a WHOLE lot more thinking to do on the subject...so I'm hoping you detail your experience and it can help me with my decision.

| ![]() The visit went wonderfully. She is a cute little girl. She is smaller than Gidget, 4 lb if she is lucky. When we got home, though, Gidget refused to have anything to do w me. She would not take a treat from me. I thought, oh no, have we made a mistake? Then Sunday she acted normally, like nothing ever happened. Gidget does like playing w herself in the mirror, playing w a stuffed yorkie toy (almost life size), so we think she would really like one. We were a little confused.

| ![]() When we got Lola for the first 2 days Kiwi was kinda pissed...he wouldn't give me kisses and didn't want to cuddle or be held, but he got over it! After the first week they were napping together on the couch and he was sharing his toys and even letting her eat out of his dish(I was very nervous about that, but he just let her do it and didn't care) We made sure to spend extra time with him and cuddle him and love him a lot. Plus he slept with us and she does not, so that was our "special" time. Unfortunely they only got to spend about 2 weeks together untill Kiwi passed ![]() ![]()

| ![]() The best advice I can give you is to be patient and let them get to be friendly in their own time. When you bring the new yorkie in Gidget may not like her and could even be unfriendly to her and that could last as long as a month. It is harder for adult dogs to accept a new dog. I have over the years brought in new dogs and cats and no matter how bad it seemed at first after a period of adjustment they always accepted each other. Best of luck and congrats
