Meh, I've only got the mixed question once since I've been back, and that guy was certain that I was lying when I told him he was all yorkie. Though I get a lot of, wow that's a GIANT yorkie! Every time I laugh and tell them he's only 5lbs, just tall like a hansom model :P.

Maci is 8lbs but she is cobby and looks like she only weighs maybe 6lbs.
She is also fat, can't feel a rib if you try! and she has a li'l tubby belly and should probably lose a pound or two, but people so far think she's the perfect size for our active life that's full of busy family holidays and kids!

Maci is my first yorkie, and her size suits me VERY well! I love the bigger ones I've seen on here... they look better built. No tongues that are too big for their mouths, legs that look like legs, etc. Tinies are cute, but sometimes I think they just don't look normal haha! To me a good size is 6-10lbs, BUT I am a sucker for the tiny ones too haha.

Tila is a bigger girl. I love her just as she is all 9lbs of her. I don't usually get comments on people saying she's big though, they always ask me are you sure she's 9lbs because she's a tiny thing, she can't weight that much. lol. I tell him them nope she really is 9lbs. I love her to pieces.

I usually get the "Is that a .... Yorkie?" question.

Most are actually thrilled when they see him. I get a lot of compliments on his size and how they prefer it, so I've actually never had a negative experience.

What I do find funny is how many people have asked me if he's a Silky Terrier, and I am amazed at the number of people who even KNOW what a Silky Terrier is!! I never knew until after getting Jackson.

Same with our Harry! I've been asked if he's a Silky or a Skye Terrier or a Dandie Dinmont or a crossbreed - I just look them straight in the eye and explain "no, he's a pure-bred Yorkie, but a good old-fashioned one, and as you probably know, all of these genetics were in the make-up of the original Yorkie breed".

I don't really think anyone does really know, but they go away looking confused and we walk the other way, looking a bit smug!! Sally + Harry x

Pita is an adorable girl and looks all yorkie to me!!

I've never been asked before if mine was a yorkie but I have been asked what kind of yorkie they are. One lady asked me if it was the silky kind because my girl has silky hair. Another asked me if they were a toy or teacup. And my favorite question they ask is the ears. I grow out the hair long on my girls ears and I guess most people are used to the trimmed look so I get asked a lot what kind of yorkie they are that have ears like that, like all yorkies naturally have their ears shaved/trimmed.
