$10,000 for a puppy For that amount , I could give excellent cares to the little ones needing a new home .

Never in a thousand Year that I will give this amount for a pup . I prefer rescue them .

Kimberley, Don't be upset, It's the same old story over and over again. When someone tries to justify undefendable positions with reasons that make no sense like size and accessibility (Hunte Corp for example) and then divert the original topic by bringing up things that will make it into a personal issue...you just have to walk away. There is no reasoning with people sometimes and most people learn after awhile that respect is something you earn, not an entitlement. You have mine.

hehe! I climbed on top of the roof twice yesterday and replaced 2 bulbs. That stupid 2 foot section (out of 6) still doesn't work. Oh well, will just have ghetto lights this year!

I thought about just buying a new string of lights but my body feels like a mac truck hit it. I'm so sore from climbing on top of the house. My body isn't as limber as it once was! LOL!

i'm not going to lie, I went to yorkiepup.com and wondered why there were so many puppies for sale. I don't now, but it just seems very hard to give that many babies the needed attention. And while I dont agree with breeder bashing, I recently(before I got my tucker)dealt with a very bad breeder who sells sick puppies, and i WISH someone would of warned me about her,before I lost alot of money, a puppies life, and went through, and am still going through ALOT of heartache. And thats all I'm ganna say!

Your story is a sad one and I would love to help you put that bad breeder out of business if you have not already to save other unsuspecting people from being harmed.

Jeff Dane's kennel is a huge business (yes, I said business) but, as I understand it from friends of mine who have been there and got puppies from him, he has employed his entire family and a lot of extra help to give all the dogs the very best care and love while they are at his kennel. He can certainly afford it with the size of his operation and it is part of the reason that some of his puppies are so expensive. He has bulit state of the art kennels with central heat and air and has vets on staff. He is not a small hobby breeder or backyard breeder. I make a distinction between bad mass breeders and decent ones. Some people think that anyone who breeds a certain number ia a puppymill and bad.

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would risk the life of a female for the "loveof the breed" or for the "betterment" of the breed or some other altruistic reason. I personally think the breeders who contnd this is their reason are fooling themselves and others, because it should never be worth the risk of a dog's life to "break even" or hope to whelp a show dog. Jeff Dane is very up front about the fact that he is in business and he breeds dogs for a living. I see nothing wrong with this if he does it honestly and without abuse or neglect of the dogs. I do not think he sells to pet stores either, although I do not know that for sure.

I have seen pictures of his whelping building and his breeding building and the dogs are not stacked on top of each other at all. They are in a large room with couches and a livingroom type feeling and they are allowed out of their crates to socialize and interact with people and other dogs. Until someone proves otherwise, I choose to believe the best rather than the worst.

There are a lot of small breeders that I don't agree with the way they raise and handle thier breeding stock. They keep them in crates in one room of the house, they never go for walks, car rides or to the dog park or shopping or anything and they are rarely allowed in any other part of the house. Males especially are not considered appropriate for the house because of their tendency to mark so they are kept out in separate buildings. This is no life for a dog and it is possible that Jeff Dane keeps his stud males separate but I would bet the facilities and human companionship that he provides for them is ten times better than what most breeders, including some show breeders provide for their males.

I am sure that with the numbers he has old over the 24 years he has been in business that he has had a few that ended up sick but that in my opinion is no reason to condemn him and call him a bad breeder without proof.

It is not okay in my book to accuse someone of "hiding behind an IP address" and or impersonating someone else and then when it is proven that they did no such thing to not acknowledge your mistake and apologize. The issue was brought up legitimately in this thread by Robbie and I was not trying to make anything about me. You opened the door when you showed up in the thread and we had to "guess" about what your zipped lips were about. No one here can read minds.

If you don't want to apologize then that is up to your conscience.

Kim~I thought all of this was discussed and settled behind closed doors...through pm's. Why is it being brought up again? You make no sense to me and to many others. You were the only person that questioned the zipped smilies.

I sleep well at night so no, I don't have anything on my conscience. Once again, I thought we had talked through all of it and I told you it was a mistake but (Sylvia) was brought to my attention by another member...a couple of different members and all thought it was you. Were you not part of that conversation or was I just pm-ing myself?

You have no room to talk about things being off topic. This thread was started about a $10k pup...not about "Sylvia" or you. You say that we're playing games? Whatever, Kim...I will leave the trolling comment alone!
