| I applaud you for making this decision with your head instead of your heart. It is hard to do but in the long run it is the best way for everyone.

| I dont think you missed anything I never said how I found maci I don't think?I decided I was ready for a dog, one that could stay forever, and that I wouldn't have to say goodbye too, like my fosters. So my first choice was to look at rescues and on kijiji for some older dogs/puppies needing homes. Maci's ad caught my eye for whatever reason, so I drove a 4 hour trip to meet her last weekend. I asked why they needed to rehome her... the wife was a stay at home mom/wife, but due to a recent change of living quarters/divorce and other issues the mother felt Maci wasn't getting spoiled like she should be [and truuuust me they spoiled her alright!] now that they were living with grandpa and the mother has to start working full time until 7pm, and the daughter didn't care for Maci like she had agreed [she loves Maci, just didn't like doing the dirty work like changing/cleaning off pee pads, bathing, walking, etc...typical for most 10-11yr olds who like to be with friends 24/7] So anyways, the had a lot of people asking about her. And they were setting up interviews for everyone, and they chose me I'm excited to give Maci the spoiling forever home she needs! Last edited by maci_mace; 10-04-2011 at 03:25 PM. |
