| ![]() I always use a harness on Jack when he goes for a walk, but he is two years old and he has never worn a collar. (yes you can put I.D. tags on the harness). I am just too paranoid about the collapsed trachea... Oh, and one thing to keep in mind, when a yorkie sneezes, they don't sneeze like other dogs. It almost is like they can't catch their breath and sounds like a goose. Google it and check out a video so when your little one sneezes for the first time you won't be totally freaked out. I watched a video and was so grateful that I did! My hubby did not watch the video and I think he was ready to throw Jack in the car and run him to the vet's office. LOL Congratulations on your little one and good luck!

| ![]() Also would be great to have is a yorkie first aid kit. Check out this thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...g-dosages.html This little ones are fast and can get into almost anything before you know it. It's good to have a first aid kit for minor things. |

Plus having a first aid kit for minor things can save you a ton of money. Brandi seemed like she was very sick so I rushed her to the emergency vet. Cost me a 180.00 to find out she had soft stool and an upset tummy something pepto bismol and canned pumpkin could of easily fixed. This happened to me twice so basically it cost me 360.00 dollars for the vet to shaved her butt... ![]() Now that I know what to look for when she has an upset tummy or soft stool I know what to do. If that doesn't appear to work, then I just take her to the vet. Last edited by yavenay; 10-02-2011 at 04:55 PM. | |
