| Quick question about humping.. Belle is about to be 5 months. She is almost 4lbs. And today I saw her humping her bed. Could she be going into heat already? Is it normal for it to be this early? Someone told me it might be a dominance thing. She is very dominant.. She doesn't let the older dog(s**tzu-poo) play with anything! So have any of y'all ever have your puppy go into heat so early? |

| I have a little girl who used to try to hump me. She was only 8 weeks old when it started. Since then she hasn't done it anymore.(she knows who's boss) But I think it could be possible. My vet said that some breeds can go into 1st heat at 6 months old.

| Girls can hump and it not mean they are going into heat. I think she is too young to be going into heat anyway

| My little boy of 10 weeks tried humping my arm when playing, I corrected him and now he just humps his toys, think it must be a dominance thing |

| I have never heard of a Yorkie going into heat at such an early age (course, I have not heard a lot of things - LOL). My little Abby started a little humping at 5 months, but it is just a dominance thing. She is not going into get fixed until she is 7-7.5 months (she is pretty small so we decided to wait a little longer than usual). My vet said not to worry about going into heat until 8-9 months - course, he was talking about Abby specifically. Abby tried to hump Max the night before he went in to get fixed - I thought that was funny especially with the timing. But I called her name and then they started playing again. Silly little pups. |
