| My Max didn't outgrow it and he's almost 1 1/2. But it did get a little easier to manage because now he understands the Leave It command. Here's a thread I created a while back that has lots of ideas on how to manage the problem. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-his-poop.html

| Well I think they get "better" when they get older but just when you think they have quit they'll do it again!! |

| I'm so glad that you aren't mad at her and you are lighthearted. It's disgusting, but my vet says it's not going to hurt Max if he eats his own or my other dog's poop because they are healthy. But you will have to watch her around strange dogs. Try the pineapple, spinach and some other techniques. I also bought Dis-Taste treats for my boy but it didn't work. But I gave it to an acquaintance with the same issue and her dog stopped! Go figure

| Teddy ate poop and he is cured. He is cured because I changed foods, but that does not work for everyone. I'm sure glad it worked for us though. Some dogs are very committed to the habit, but I hope yours is cured!!

Josie did quit when I changed her food to Ultra. But i do give them green beans and carrots and I wonder if that has stopped her from eating. I still watch her cause I don't trust her. As soon as I see her leave the potty pad I go get it. | |||

| Pineapple There's a thread on here somewhere that says pineapple will cure the problem. 3-4 pieces of pineapple every day. I haven't tried it because my little Coco only eats her grumpies every once in a while but if she did it consistently I would definitely give it a whirl. |

| We used pineapple as well. Also sprinkle meat tenderizer on their food. Pam |

| Meat tenderizer was recommended by my vet. I doubt that the amount of garlic would be toxic to dogs. However, I wasn't thrilled with the sodium content so we stopped using it.

| Pineapple works. I dont think theres enogh garlic to make a difference in the meat tenderizer. They even make garlic pills for dogs to get rid of fleas

| I didn't know that about meat tenderizer. It was recommended by my vet and the breeder. We no longer use it though because our furbaby no longer eats her poop. I did check the ingredients. The one we used was low sodium and no garlic was listed. Pam |
