Go with your instinct. My husband is very allergic to anything besides Poodles and Yorkies. (I have heard that you need to spend at least an hour with a dog to check allergies. Some dogs will trigger an instant response, with others a slower response.)

Since you are highly allergic to any other breed I would go ahead and get a yorkie that is for sure a yorkie. It would be sad to bring home a dog thinking it was all yorkie and have a adverse reaction , then have to rehome your new dog. Just to be safe try a yorkie rescue or adopt from a reputable breeder .

He looks very silky terrier to me, but only a DNA test can veryfy that, I will need to see him to determine if meets most of the Silky standards or at least a mix of one..
