| My female terrier mix breed does still and has been fixed since she was a puppy. I read somewhere that it can be used as a dominance stance. |

| Both male and females will hump if you allow them to. I have a friend who's female humps her bed. It doesn't bother my friend so she allows her female yorkie to do it. I have a male, and he's not allowed. He doesn't even bother trying. He only tried to hump my roommate's dog when he first came home. I didn't allow it then and he never tried it again. I've had him for 2 years now.

| There was a male Chihuahua mix named Oscar. he tried humping my leg (EW!). I told him no and he completely stopped. And his owner had a Rottweiler, Crystal, was in heat. Some dog was humping her, turned out it was also a female. So both genders will hump. |

| My Cricket (female) used to hump her toy pig. My husband and I died when we saw Dexter's video "Hump Da Piggy." That was the only thing she ever tried to hump, so we just let her do it. Gidget has never tried to hump anything.

| Gizmo doesn't hump. However, a female dog at Petsmart did attempt to mount him today. He looked back at her like, "Excuse me, do I know you?" My old Cairn, Cammie, use to hump as well.

| I have 3 male yorkies and none of them hump. I wouldn't allow it as I hate that behavior but they've never felt the need to do it so it hasn't been an issue. I dog sat a friends female shihtzu for a week. The entire time all she would do is hump mine. I ended up having to put her in a separate room as she was just terrifying my dogs and just wouldn't stop.

| Before Max was neutered, he had a favorite stuffed animal that he humped a little. Otherwise, neither of my boys hump.
