| Question about flea treatment We put Pet Armour on our daughters Yorkie last week with zero results. We bought K-9Advantix II today and I was wondering if we should put it on him now or do we have to wait? |

| Pet Armour is similar to Frontline if I understand correctly. I have never had luck with using Frontline in my area. I do use Advantix and I never have flea issues. However, since you just put the Pet Armour on a week ago I don't think I would put the Advantix on right now. You might want to call the vet and ask about this. Some dogs do have reactions so it is better to be safe.

| I would call and ask the vet. You sure don't want to over medicate. We had pretty good luck with Advantage but this year have not had to use anything. I don't let them go out in this heat though. BUt, I would personally wait. I had a real scare with Frontline. The vet said there could have been more in the vial than should have been but one of my little schnauzers could not even walk without dragging her back feet. I am really leary of all this stuff with chemicals so I would really be careful, espically with our little yorkies. Also, I would like to say, we bought the Frontline at Petco, not the vet. For now on I will always get anything like that through them. Don't know if it makes a difference or not, but, I don't ever want to take another chance of one being over medicated. |

| I would advise to wait too. We had a bad problems with fleas this year, I think it is due to the severe drought we are having. I tried several products. The one that worked best for me was the Adams line. We used the house foggers and the yard spray.

| i have used Frontline for 11 yrs but just tried PetAmour last month. We haven't had any problems with it. The dogs haven't lapsed with treatments though. Frontline does say to wait 1 month before retreating them, you could overdose the dog. (i have called & asked) Also with PetAmour & Frontline, they say to give it the entire 3 months because the cycle of fleas has to be treated not just the fleas. |

| I have had really good results from Revolution. It works for fleas, ticks, heartworm prevention, ear mites, and some sarcoptic mange in dogs. It comes according to how much your dog weighs - we get it for 5 pounds and less. I get it from the vet. Since Cali is a Service and Therapy dog I also keep Capstar around for "just in case" issues incase she gets exposed to dogs who have fleas - it works in about 30 minutes. My vet says these cannot be given any closer than 3 weeks from the last dose.
