For clarification.The BTCA is the Biewer terrier club of America, is the club. The BTRA is The Biewer Terrier Registy of America(the Btca's Registry) which i understand is handled by Tiffany and her mother.

For clarification Deb Mullen, Tiffany Hood has nothing to do with BTRA, nothing!

BTRA is a registry that protects the Biewer Terrier registration. This is the only breed that has a genetic marker in place to protect the integrity of the breed!

Go after AKC registered dogs if you want to bark up a real tree.

Sounds like a lot of drama going on in this thread, I'm not sure why, though. I would hope that more people would be upset about the well being of the dogs than anything else.

Please show me where Tamara or Tiffany are listed on the Incorporation papers of BTRA.

Why would Tamara be responsible for anything her daughter does half way across the United States?
I could see her responsibility if her daughter still lived at home, as there are some 40 to 50 year children still living with mommy, but that is not the case here.

If those people had not to come on under assumed names to make comments, their names would not have been brought up.

It's obvious what is being attempted here, and again, I will say that I feel sorry for you people. There is a lot of pain in the world today and I can only imagine the humiliation that Georgia Warren and the Ashleys are feeling for being suspended from the No#1 Biewer Terrier registry.

I'm with you - why all the angst about other things when what was done to these children and dogs is the real issue? What is going on?

There are several different Biewer clubs, and some of the Biewer clubs have a poor reputation, while others have a good reputation, and don't won't to be confused with those clubs who have a poor reputation. To make it even more confusing is some of the groups changed names several times. In addition, it sounds like this person was managing the registry that some of the clubs used. :confused: It would be like if a YTCA member found out an AKC manager was breeding dogs and abusing them, you just wouldn't want to be associated with the registry that had "managers" doing that.

I have tried to explain this the way I understand it. Please feel free to correct me.

First of all, Tiffany has nothing to do with BTRA. Secondly, if a person is concerned with the management of an organization, then why does everyone place so much importance on AKC registrations, when everybody knows that they are major supporters of puppy mills and I don't even want to get started on the living conditions of some of the dogs that belong to AKC judges.

BTRA is the only Biewer registry that requires all breeding dogs to be DNA profiled although other registries claim to require it. It is a known fact that the other registry added Biewer in front of the Yorkshire Terriers that were in their pedigrees and changed the coloring to imply that they were breeding Biewer to Biewer.

When it's all said and done, at the end of the day, the only reason the BTCA is under constant attack, is because they are the only club that displays genuine concern for the breed. They have rules in place to protect the breed and will not settle for less.

To me, the OP said the BTRA manager and no other association or person was involved in this terrible tragedy. People in the dog business are rightly concerned about their reputations but some posts seemed to me more worried about clarifying their business associations than the abuse of the children and the dogs' awful fate in this tragic story. Maybe they could state their names and professional associations more clearly on another thread. It seemed to me that the story of this thread was the horror of what happened to the innocent ones of this world due to a horrible person. That story just made me so sad, to think of what those babies must have gone through.

Again, I don't care what registry this person is or isn't with. I wouldn't care if this person is freaking Mother Teresa, the President or Charles Manson. What matters is the treatment of the dogs (the kids, too, but since this is a board about dogs I'm sticking to that part of the topic). Where is the outrage for the way the dogs were being treated? All I see is people attacking/defending registries.

The connection between BTRA and Tiffany shows that Tiffany Wilkerson Hood is indeed listed as manager of Association of Pure Bred Dogs, LLC, Trade name- Biewer Terrier Registry of America. The record shows she is listed along with Tamara Beebe, member and Kerry Little, member. They in turn sign the certified documents for the BTRA certifying the authenticity of the pedigrees.

I agree Rhett's_mama-- This should be all about the dogs. Our interest and outrage should focus on the people that would abuse and neglect animals. My interest and outrage doubles, no triples in size when I learn that the abuse and neglect is caused by someone in the business that we had respected and had presented themselves to us as loving, caring pet owners had in the past.

The Biewer Terrier Registry of America is one of several different trade names used by the Association of Pure Bred Dogs, all of which are run by Tiffany Wilkerson-Hood, Kerry Little, and Tamara Beebe. Tiffany is the manager of BTRA. Tamara Beebe is her mother. There is a relationship between Tamara and Tiffany and each have a connection with BTRA despite the claims.

The one thing that stands out to me is the there are people making excuses for this lady! How could anyone justify allowing their children to live in such conditions? The home and dogs didn't get in that condition over night. Filth is Filth and Deceit is Deceit no matter who it involves!

I've been away from the forum for some time. I'm appalled at this story. This woman should be banned from ever having animals again. How dare she put her children and innocent animals through such horror.

As for the discussion about her affiliations with breed registries I'm confused as to why we'd have a category on this forum for what is essentially a cross breed. Briewers,tri-colours, Mi-Ki.s etc are not yorkies. You can give them all the fancy names and false registries you like but they are not purebred dogs and in my opinion have no place on a forum for yorkes. It is difficult enough to protect the true breed we shouldn't be encouraging those who seek to destroy it.
