				   | I love the colors! I am getting ready to make one, too. Check out the " Faux Chennille " blankets on utube. They make beautiful baby gifts. |

				   | Ya'll are inspiring me. I have always been afraid of my sewing machine. I might have to get it out and try one of these. I have a great niece due the end of October.

				   | OMgosh Michelle....it's so beautiful! I absolutely love it! You did a wonderful job! The colors are gorgeous...so pretty. I love making them, it was so much fun and so easy. I can see, your babies really love the quilt mommy made them. They both are simply gorgeous!

				   | Thanks ya'll!!! I used fabric I had on hand and it is cotton. The next one I do, I am going to get flannel. My SIL is going to be a grandmother for the first time in a couple of months...got to find some boy fabric.

				   | Wow! Great job and great colors! I want to try this too. Now just to find the time! Does it sound harder than it is to make?

				   | It really isn't hard, just a little time consuming. I cut out my squares and put them together last night, not sure how long it took, but not too long. I started sewing them together this morning and was done in about 2 hrs...but that was stopping and starting, not sitting at the sewing machine non stop. I think even a beginner to sewing could do this.

				   | I need your opinions....I collect antique glass, kitchenware and linens and my grandmother has given me a lot of her things from the 30's and 40's. I have several of her old flour sacks (she used to make my mom and her sisters clothes from them). I just thought, wouldn't that be a great keepsake for my granddaughter, to make a rag quilt from some of them. I hate to cut them up, but I just have them in storage and this way they can be seen. What would you do?

				   | Jadabug, I would use them to make the quilt. I have a quilt made from my my old clothing from childhood, I love it so much it is one of my most valued items. Honestly, the old clothing did nothing but took up space. Now I look at the squares on the quilt and remember so many good times in my life.
