| Thor's Human Donating Member | It's not just a yorkie thing. One of my coworkers complained a few months ago that his one-year-old lab had suddenly decided he didn't like his metal bowls. I am travelling for work with Thor for the summer. I brought his travel bowls with me, which are little metal stackables. When we first got here, I noticed he wasn't eating anything, so I gave him some canned food. He wigged out. He desperately wanted the canned food, but he was afraid of the bowl, and the frustration of it almost made his little head explode. I had never noticed it before because I don't use these bowls often. He's okay if he doesn't have to stick his face in them -- he can drink out of them fine -- but he doesn't like the bowl moving around. I think maybe before when I've used these, they've been on carpet? Anyway, it was a new discovery. I'm using a paper towel at the moment, but I have to find either a little mat for him, or buy another porcelain doggie dish.

| We joke about Ziva being to prissy to stick her face in a bowl- like her piggy big sister does! |

| My Jilly hated eating out of any bowl - plate or anything flat was okay. Tibbe would eat out of anything that had his food in it. He just wants that food and doesn't care about the container.

I've heard that as well but I don't use plastic. "Plastic is actually just as bad for dogs as it is for humans. There are toxins in the plastic that leach into the food and water that is served to your pets. Most people have stopped using plastic dishes and baby bottles because of this problem, so why give your dog something you wouldn’t use?"

| 2-bits is 15 and weighs 70lbs (obviously not a yorkie) until last year he ate out of the same bowl for 14yrs. Suddenly he prefers the tile floor,in my foyer. At his age Im just happy that he eats. We scrub the floor when he is done. |
