It was for a short period based on how dirty they were getting. I use WEN though which is very nondrying. Anyways when we are not that active not getting that dirty we don't bath but up to once every two weeks at the longest-depends on the week & the dirty. Oh I could have used wipes but yeah I just wash dogs in shower...

I switched Sheldon to yorkie splash and shine and I love it, the smell isn't over powering and instead of covering it up it eliminates it. I give him a bat once a week. I wash his face every day if I have time with the spa blueberry face scrub, it works wonders. | |

| When we adopted our first Yorkie the rescue league gave us some samples of eQyss shampoo and conditioner. This stuff is great. It smells clean, not like some fake scent and lasts at least 2 weeks. We get it from petedge.com, a dog grooming site. Since we have 3 yorkies each keeps the clean smell a differnt amount of time one 2 weeks, one about 3 weeks and our thrid about a month. This shampoo and conditioner smell so clean (and not the fake clean smell) that if we ran out of Pantene for our selves we would use the dog shampoo and conditioner. we bought the dig groomer sizes and you dilute it. We still have plenty after 3 years and growing to 3 dogs. I also have allergies and so does one of our dogs and this clean smell bothers neither of us. |

| I bought Pet Head's strawberry yogurt detangling spray for Miles and I really like it.. I use it every day when I brush him and he smells like strawberries all day long. He does still get that outside smell after I take him out but it goes away within a few minutes of being back inside |

| My skin kids definitely smelled after playing outside and I always said they smelled like a dog when they came in. That was before i even had a dog! Maggie gets that smell sometimes too..not sure what it is from but it does fade. She got her Advantix on yesterday and is due for a bath. It is killing me that I have to wait another day to bathe her! Luckily she doesn't smell bad, she just doesn't smell good, and the Advantix makes her looks a little greasy in the area I applied it. Normal bath is weekly to 10 days. It is the UV rays that take the smell away in the sun. They kill the bacteria. I once had to remove all the carpet padding from my minivan due to an ongoing leak that I didn't know about. (THAT was a chore). I couldn't get the smell out so I finally took it out in pieces and laid it in the sun. It actually did work. I guess it killed the microscopic mold or whatever. I guess dog walks in the sun should help sanitize our babies too! |
