| We have a lot of wild animals here as well as big birds...i could never leave mine outside..so we built a big covered deck and enclosed it with wire and lattice & put in a doggie door

| Yeah I am always outside with my boys if we are hanging out outside. I do sometimes open the slider so they can run in and out while I am working out on the treadmill or something, but now I feel like I can't even do that! uuugghhh.... B/t what happened to my bunny, the possum that comes each night to feed on the grape arbor, and the fox/coyotes/fishercats spotted in the neighborhood, I'm soooooo paranoid its ridiculous! My yard is fenced in, but even that won't stop a hawk! I didn't think I had to worry much about them, although I was always aware that they are in the area! Now I know I do!

| I'm very sorry for your loss of your bunny. Hawks are a problem here. One attacked my neighbor's 13 pound Yorkie and did extensive damage to his torso. I no longer let my boys out on our deck while I go out into the yard. I'm glad your babies are okay. Very scary!

| We live on a small farm. We have ALOT of hawks here. We have several nest on the back of the property and there is NOTHING we can do to them. It is against the law to remove them. SO... We have to be super careful too. They are all over out here. Several years ago, in a suburb of Atlanta; A family was ouside paying with their dacshund and a hawk swooped and picked it up. A family member grabbed the little dog by its legs and the hawk released it. It was all over the news. Hawks are really brave birds. You have to be super careful. I have to be on the lookout for them all the time.
