| I agree with yorkierose she could be a purebred but a red leg. There hair doesnt grow as long as the typical yorkie. I would just enjoy her as the wonderful pet she is

| How old is she and what was her weight at the vet check....and if the breeder promised a tiny in the contract..then you might be able to recoup some money spent... |

| Thanks to you guys for the welcome! As far as her ears go, I hope they stay floppy...I think it's so stinkin cute. I just can't seem to get past her hair. My daughters insisted on getting a female and we have bought LOTS of hair accessories!! We even bought Pet Head products, you know like Bed Head. Anyway, does anyone know of anything I can give her to help her hair? |

| I've only seen a lot of Yorkie pups when looking for one over the years and have only every seen very very fuzzy young dogs. Looks like your little darling is a mix but whatever she is, she is absolutely wonderful! That precious face and those eyes just melted me. Such a darling puppy face! She looks like she could be a bit of a minx, too! You are blessed to have found this little love and vice versa!

| I spoke with the breeder and she told me that Macie-Belle's mother was the same way, in that it took much longer for her hair to grow out. She assures me that it will grow. I guess time will tell...we love her no matter what. She seems really smart, we taught her to sit in one night. She was being fed Science Diet but we are slowly transitioning her over to Royal Canine for Yorkies. Do you guys think this is a good idea? I've read that Royal Canine is a quality brand food. |

| your baby is beautiful... and I can feel your love for her thru your post. But if you really want to know her ancestry, buy one of the DNA test kits from the pet store. They're $60 or $70, but if you're patient, you'll find them in a crushed box on the aisle end cap at PetSmart for $29. My first Yorkie was a rescue with no clue to ancestry. No blood is taken. It's a mouth swab. The only info you supply is the gender and approx age of the dog. When the results seemed a little late to me, I called the testing agency. The person I talked to had done Marley's test. Without knowing anything about him, she said that all she could see on his test was Yorkie. One of the cleanest screens she had seen! Marley is a 'teapot'... 9+ pounds with a strong terrier nose and long body. His gold and blue coat is perfect. If he had been part bulldog, I couldn't love him more. I understand your desire to know... go ahead and run the test... |
