| Early mornings help! My yorkie puppy Zoe is 15 weeks old. She generally goes to sleep about 9pm at night and sleeps very well in her crate. I take her out before I go to bed around 10pm. She consistently wants to get up at 4:30-5am and go out and then play. Is this normal? My big dogs never did this as babies. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have one that wakes me up at 5 5:30 every day but she is 5 1/2. At 15 weeks she probably still needs to get up to pee. Hopefully as she gets a little older she will sleep in.

| When I first got Callie she wanted up at 3am on the nights she would actually sleep then it changed to 6am as she got a little older now at 4 she sleeps in normally as long as I do which is around 10am.

| My two (3 years and 1.5 years) often wake me up in the middle of the night to go potty. I would say you are lucky only waking up once with a 15 week old

| My 4 are 10 months to 2 1/2 years and I get up with them at 4 a.m. every morning, no chances oversleeeping with them. Better than an alarm clock.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Mine all sleep throughout the night; how-ever Razz as a young 13-15 wk old pup, would ask to go out about 2am, after sleeping from 10pm, then hubby told me he'd get up with him at 3am, I would again be up at 4am then we all rose at 5:30 am. We figured it out he just liked after one long sleep to take mini naps then wake either Mom or Dad to go play. So we cut out the 3am play time the next wk, and the week after the 4am one. Now as adults all our dogs will sleep with us until we get up which means on wkends if we want to sleep in we can..yeah

| My Cricket was always a middle of the night pottyer! So far, Gidget sleeps through the night until 6:30 am.

| LOL When Teddy was younger he used to want to get up and use the bathroom at 3AM and play as well. What I would do when he would wake me up is taking him to his pee spot wait and if he goes great if he doesn't then I put him back in his crate and go back to sleep. I did this in absolute silence and I would only say anything if he actually used the bathroom (I would praise him). He whined sometimes but he eventually got the message. Now, he only wakes me up if he absolutely has to go potty and after he's done he goes right back to sleep
