| Anyone else have a weirdo... ...that LIKES fireworks? I've always left Levi at home while going to see fireworks, but went to visit my parents this year. Their town sets off fireworks at an elementary school that is a two-minute walk from their house, so I decided to take Levi, figuring that if he was scared, we could just take the short walk back and go inside. I was kind of expecting him to be scared of all the booms, but he did so well! He kept watching them like he knew what was happening. He even did well during the big finale. He was so funny watching them in the sky. I've never had a dog that wasn't skittish around fireworks, but Levi isn't really skittish at all. But still, I was amazed by how well he did! Funny little guy. |

| We've had some brief fireworks here in the neighborhood since I got Tibbe and someone even let some go on the next street over late last night but Tibbe didn't respond. He never has. He's more afraid of a weird sound coming from the home theater surround sound system - some squeak or wonky sound effect than anything real. He's not scared of thunder or the occasional loud sound. It's weird sounds that can spook him - like the sound my curtain rod makes when I touch it - a clatter. I commend your little "weirdo" for enjoying his fireworks without turning a hair. What a brave boy! He's a cutie, too!

| My Douglas did not seem to mind them at all, he would look up into the sky! I was a little nervous last night and did not want him out, but he kept asking to go out!

| Rosie hates them! Every time one goes off, she barks. And barks, and barks....Lol. Glad Levi enjoyed them.

| You are SO lucky! One would think that Jackson would like fireworks but he does NOT. If they are loud enough, he goes under the bed and hides and is terrified. He won't even come out for a piece of cheese. However last night we could see fireworks across the trees but they weren't super loud (but could def. be heard) and he was fine, just laying chewing on a bully stick... he had to have heard them, because he hears *everything* but I guess they weren't loud enough to freak him out.

But you know the one thing I've found that totally freaks him out? The clicker. He HATES that noise and runs away every time. I'd love to clicker-train him, but can't find a clicker he doesn't hate!

| Fireworks don't bother Brandi. She does it love the sound but she tolerates. Now let there be a thunderstorm.....that's a different story. What's weird is how she is able to distinguished the difference between the two. Brandi is so afraid of thunderstorms, that she will literally jump in the shower with me, but the noise from the fireworks last night didn't bother her at all. Go figure. |

| Peanut is horrrrified by them! Last night was a mess! He was so scared, shakng, and panting! Dh nor myself could have made him feel better. About 10pm I put him in his crate, in the closet, shut the door, shut my bedroom door, and left him! I checked on him about 1 in the morning and he was sound asleep! I felt horrible for him!! If your pup likes fireworks or doesn't mnd them consider yourself blessed!! Its a hard thing to deal with!

| Ella went with us to the fireworks last night and watched for a few minutes and then curled up in my lap and went to sleep. Never even flinched when the big booms went off or anything. So far the only thing she is afraid of is the bell by the door we are trying to get her to ring when she goes outside!!

I knew Levi wouldn't be terrified or hiding, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well he did. He was calm for the whole show, just sitting on my lap watching the pretty lights. | |
