				   | Samantha, my granddaughter's four-year-old Yorkie girl who has been with me for two months now, was loose in the house all day yesterday and used her potty pad all day! I was gone for about an hour and a half and she was in her crate then, but she was loose the rest of the day. I watch her carefully when she's loose and she is finally catching on that she's supposed to use the potty pad. We have a potty party when she does and she gets a really good treat. We aren't there yet with potty training, but we are making good progress. Samantha is Grandma's good girl! Jeanette |

				   | That is fantastic for you and Samantha. Give her lots of hugs and treats. Still praying for her rehoming situation.

				   | Many thanks! It's good to celebrate even small successes! We aren't there yet, but she is making good progress. Still don't have my son's go-ahead to find her a new home, but I'm working on it. I don't think he's talked to my granddaughter about it yet. Sammy is a sweetheart and she needs her own. She would be perfect for a retired lady who wants a sweet companion and who has the time and patience to continue with her potty training. She would also be fine for a family with teenage kids, but her potty manners will need attention for a long time yet. I think she's come a long way since she's been with me from pretty much no potty manners to using the potty pad (almost) all the time. ) I'm proud of her!Jeanette |

				   | Yay Samantha! If you praise the little things, you'll notice how much quicker they catch on. We still celebrate with Kaji a poop on the pad. He gets so excited when he gets it right!
