| Anyones Yorkie Cry Like a Baby?? I couldn't ask for a better puppy than peppermint! she is very quiet, easygoing and just so stinkin cute. the only thing unusual about her is that if she wakes up before we do, she doesn't whine or bark to be let out of her pen...she cries and it sounds exactly like a human baby!!! seriously the first time she did it i woke up and thought the neighbours had a baby out and i wondered why it was so loud. it sounds like "wwwwaaaaaaaaaaa! wwaaaaaaa! ...... Waaaaaaaaaaa!" lol. i have never heard a dog make a noise anything close to it! hahaha. anyones elses yorkie do this? i need to try to catch it on video. it's the funniest sounding thing! i am not complaining about it at all, it makes for a good alarm clock. haha. i just find it so very funny and wanted to see if there are other baby crying yorkies out there! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | OH YES!!!! Ha!! When I'm laying in bed and I help her up, she'll do this at the side of my bed...or if she has to potty... It sounds like a little baby..lol

| Teddy cries that way when he is scared of storms. He wakes me up in the middle of the night when a storm starts. He has a soft, happy cry when he is excited too. It's part of his charm. Strangely, when he does bark, it is a very deep, bass bark.

| Mina has a very highpitched sharp bark if she wants what you have. She crys at night when it is bedtime and we are not in bed yet, like during the news. She is just tired and wants Mom's pillow. She will stand up and put her front feet on me and cry when she wants up. I guess as you said "it is a thing". It is what they seem to do. I think that it is pretty cute,,,except for the demanding yip/bark that says "I want that". |

| Remy chirps in the morning. It is kind of like a cry.. a little squeaky "wa".. When she gets excited.. like someone coming to the door.. she yodels. Hey, we could get a yorkie band... cries, squeaks, yodels, growls and barks!!!

| Suzi is over 3 yrs old and still does that. Mainly when she and I are on the balcony and she sees a kitty.. This makes her cry because she cannot get to the cat! Anther thing that she does is carry around her favorite toy, a small squaky little frog, and tries to find a perfect hiding place, she whines and cries too.

| Good to know I am not nuts LOL. Gracie has normal dog language, and Gracie talk. Gracie talk includes Wa, wa crying when she wants something, a high pitched screaming that sounds like ahhh ahhh yelp repeated several times, when I leave her, a goaning in her throat when she doesn't like something, and bluff growling when she wants her way. And lastly a Me Me yip when she wants up on the bed, my lap etc.. Is it a Yorkie vocabulary ? |

YT 1000 Club Member | That is so funny. I really think you need to get that on video. Especially Dex jumping out of bed.

| Peek a Boo sounds like an old creaking door... it took me and DH about 5 minutes to figure out it was the dog, lol! And only then bc we live in a newer house, or I'd still be swinging doors to see which one was creaking! That was about 9 years ago... even to this day, I have to stop and think 'What the heck is that noise?' whenever I hear him.
