| You can never be too careful when choosing your pup. I would insist on seeing the parents. If her sister has them, it shouldn't be a problem. What kind of health guarantee is she offering? How old is the pup?

| Praying everything goes well when you meet your new baby. I would ask the sister to bring the parents over for you to see.

| hmmm...sounds suspicious and like a story a broker would come up with. I'd proceed with caution. And, as Maximo says...if the sister has the parents, it shouldn't be a problem. I personally wouldn't buy a pup without seeing the parents.

| Buy your breeder FIRST. Were the parent's tested before the breeding to ensure they are healthy? Are you given a health guarantee? What happens if the puppy gets sick, who pays? I would want to see the conditions in which the parents are kept as well as the seeing the parents. I would not be satisfied with them being brought to the sisters home. You can never be too careful with this purchase, imo. |

| Totally sounds like a broker to me too. I got a similar story about Uni, that the mom was at the house Now that I know better I am SO lucky Uni doesn't have any more problems than she does. I would NOT get a puppy from this person. Why would the pups be only 2 weeks and away from the mom, regardless if the mom wants to nurse or not?

| Trust your instincts...2 weeks old is way to young & no guarantee that the puppy will be healthy or the seller will come through on helping with vet bills if they are trying to release the pup earlier than normal schedule...sounds like their intentions are not for the pup but more of a money scam. A reputable breeder wouldn't release a puppy sooner than around 12 weeks...

| Good Luck! Finding the right breeder is well worth the wait. You will be able to enjoy many days with a healthy baby and use your money to spoil them instead of nursing them. |

| Yes def see how the litter is raised. The breeder hopefully would have a room full of ribbons and trophies from showing. If I were to ever purchase another puppy, it would have to be from a breeder who breeds for the betterment of the breed, who breeds to akc standard, and that has won awards to prove it. Anyway, check the health guarantee, it should not be just for one year, or for "life threatening" diseases only. For example, LP is not life threatening, but is passed on genetically, so a dog with this condition should not be bred. If the condition shows up, what will the breeder do about it? They should sell only on a spay/neuter contract or limited registration. No reputable breeder will sell you a dog with full breeding rights unless you have known them for a long time and trust you with their line and all the hard work they've done for years and years. Run away from anyone who uses marketable words like tea cup, baby doll face, teddy bear, hello kitty face (yes I'm serious), micro, etc, or anyone who breeds "designer dogs" morkies, and such. Or prices by size, the smaller the more expensive. Don't buy from anyone who is a one trait breeder, like only breeding for size, or for rare colors that are actually a fault and should not be priced higher. They should be breeding to meet the standard and preserve the yorkie "look". That's all I can think of right now.
