| Ant Bites? We noticed that Chewie was itching and scratching himself, more so than usual, so we decided to give him a bath. During the bath, it was discovered that he has several bug bites on his tummy. They are small and pinkish-red. I know I haven't seen them before now... We live in Houston and it has been extremely hot as we are in a drought and there is dust/dirt on everything (it seems) outside. I am guessing with no rain, it is easier for things like ants to thrive? Chewie seems fine. He has stopped scratching since his bath. Should I call the vet just in case? What do you think? Thanks!! |

| I would just keep an eye on the bites and make sure they dont get infected. Usually they just go away. You might walk your yard and see if you can find the ant trail or hill. We put amdro on an ant hill and then put a paint bucket on top of it so the dogs cannt get to it. |
