I love Kim's work. I have mini clay versions of Finni and Gwenni and the larger mohair ones she does as well. Its well worth it!

Kim's work is absolutely I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E! I plan to order one of Lollipop when she finishes - lol - that will give me enough time to save some $$.

Getting a custom designed Yorkie statue for under $100.00 seems very reasonable to me. Her talent speaks for itself in her work. I am not a rich person, but I am more than willing to scrimp, save, and treat myself to extraordinary works of art.

Very talented person. Price: too high for me but for the amount of work that I'm that goes into those the price is probably fair and reflective of that painstaking work.

I always wondered what her prices were, and never emailed to ask bc I was worried it was way more. I was expecting maybe 200-300. As an artist myself, it's really difficult to put a price on your art. Not just on your time, but how do you price creativity and talent? I'm not disagreeing with you at all, just trying to explain from an artisan's point of view. For example, a piece of work that takes let's say a week to make, if you break that down hourly, how much is the artisan making? Much less than minimum wage I would say. Oh I'm so psyching myself up for one now.

oh I want one very much!!! I did not mean to put down the work when I said it wasn't in my budget. Sorry to say there are other expenses that come first. But I am sure putting them on my wish list (are you listening dd??? dh????)

I agree with the statement it is hard to put a price on an artist's work. I do quilting and some sewing. I have thought of selling quilts but the price offered would be almost an insult to the amount of time and my skill. I make them as gifts for family and friends.

The dogs are beautiful... and I do hope to have one of my baby, Remy and maybe even my sweet bailey and sammy one day

I totally agree with Priscilla. I thought they would be much more and then when I received mine of Jada and Bogie and saw up close the amount of work and detail, I could not believe the price. It actually takes Kim about a week to do one of these. IDK anyone who would work on something this detail oriented and only charge 95.00.

Yeah, I've been pretty much just doubling up on the costs of the materials and the labor is basically free. For example I make mini hats out of buckram. I have one that I sell for $175. The materials alone cost me about $50 and that's taking all the discounts and ordering wholesale I can. Then the actual process takes about 2-3 weeks depending on what I'm working on, in the end, I'm really working for less than free.

Now I need to decide, do I want a mini Uni in scraggly mode or just bathed mode? LOL

I had Jada and Bogie done when they were in a full coat and since then I have then in the "Joey" cut But I figure they were in full coat longer than they have been hairless and I have the sculptures to remind me of what they looked like with long hair. (We are all loving their short hair and will probably never grow it back out)

LOL Uni is in freshly bathed mode for about 1 day, and scraggly pirate mode for the other 6. I guess if I got her done in FB mode, it wouldn't be accurate, as she is SP 90% of the time. I'm sure Dainty Dawgs can capture that "crust" factor.

LOL...I know what you mean. Jada and Bogie look good for about 12hrs after a bath and then the face is all messed up and they have that bedhead look until the next bath. Boy someone could make a fortune if they came up with a product that would make them look freshly bathed for 5 or 6 days.
