| We go at least once per year for a full check up, heartworm and fecal test. In addition, we go anytime something else requires going. On average, about once every 3-6 months. |

| For sure we go annually but I bet we're there at least 2-3x per dog for one thing or another. We do the splitting up of shots but regardless, there has been other issues that we've had to go for. Maggie was just in about a month/2 months ago as she threw up like 3 days in a row. She is such a good eater that she eats more than she realizes and she then drinks water after and it rehydrates in her system and she's eaten way too much. I feed them Stella and Chewy's freeze dried.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Mine go once a year for heart worm and check up, since we are on the every 3 years for rabies and distemper. Nikki goes every 6 months due to him being a senior. But I usually end up at the er vet or regular vet at least 3-4 for non routine visits. With 4 it seems like I never go more than a month with out a trip to the vet.

| Sadly for the pups, every 3 to 5 years (only if something is wrong) isn't at all uncommon. And a ton of owners only feel like they have to go yearly for "shots". So suggesting they be done less often, while great on the over vaccination side of things, can be absolutely horrible for overall health. They just don't bring them at all for those two years in between or whatever. We do exam, bloods, fecal, heartworm, and u/a once yearly. Would probably do a 6 month exam, but hse always needs to be seen during the year, so it isn't needed. One year she was seen probably 15+ times. Now it's maybe 4-7. But then she comes to hang out when I'm there, so she is looked at anytime I have a concern. And if we're not there and a pic can capture what is going on, there is always email and texting. I've become much more relaxed though, so she is not seen for every little thing.

| We go at least once every year for their vaccinations and checkup. They are almost two, but when they were puppies...it seemed like we ALWAYS went to the vet for this and that...

| I was in the Vets office 3-times in the past month for Riley's allergic reaction & ear infection issue. The first two times they charged $70.00 just for the Examination Fee....[Ouch.... ] The 3rd time, was a "re-check", which was $47.50. I have Trupanion pet insurance with a 90% reimbursement for any illness/injury and - 0 - deductible. BUT, they don't reimburse for the examination or re-check fees. I will Plan on taking him once a year for his yearly exam/vaccinations and then for whatever else comes up. I also take him in for his nail trims... which are $15.00 a pop. |

| I breed and show on a very limited basis but there was a point this winter that I was at the vet once a week for 7 weeks in a row. Not with the same dogs either. Puppies for shots, Libby was sick, Mickey for some test, Libby to get spayed..... I think I might need to get a part time job there! I have spent a small fortune in vet fees this year alone and I try to use minimal vaccines - not because of costs but it's just my belief. And I titer my crew which is actually more expensive than getting the vaccine's. Anyways, not complaining. My vet is wonderful and my babies are worth every penny of the care and really, I have to say they are pretty healthy for the most part! |

| We go at least twice a year. They are all come due for their annual exam in the Fall. I like to break up the vaccines for Pebbles and Bogey so they both make more than one visit for that. Doodlebug is only gets rabies (now every 3 years) so he gets an exam in the Fall. Then in the Spring they go back for their HW blood draw and weight check. Of course it never fails that we make a sick visit for at least one some time along the way. Like when Pebbles lost a tooth, Doodlebug had an LP issue, both had a booboo on his eye, Pebbles caught a bunny , Doodlebug had a "lipstick" problem.....get the picture They know me by my VOICE when I call

| We do at a minimum twice a year but honestly we go more often. Sophie Kate boards at her Vet when I am gone so that counts and she also has mild LP and CT so if something is wrong there we go. Avery my cat who will be 13 this week (Happy Birthday Avery) goes only once a year now because it so stressful for him. But he still goes every year regardless of his protest. As someone else said I would have a parade if my vets costs were only $250.00 every FIVE years.

| Every six months for check ups, whenever they need shots, or whenever they are sick beyond anything I can fix at home. Chip spent a ton of time at the vet his first year. The only thing I've really had to bring Smokey in for other than the normal stuff was his separation/storm anxiety.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | OMG! That is awful! Taycie turned 1 in March and aside from the 3 initial visits in the beginning for puppy shots (I do split them up so she just for shots we actually went 4 times), because I did rabies separately from every thing else. She then went back later for her spay surgery about 4 months later. Then through out the year I took her back 5 more times for a UTI, a hookworm, (parasite), Conjunctivis twice and update her bordetella vaccine. And guess what? We go in on the 16th of this month for her yearly exam! I will be doing a fecal and bloodwork and her 1 year boosters. Then in a few weeks will go back for Rabies. So.... I don't know why or what she is complaining about. I don't avoid the vet. I think it is part of being a responsible pet owner.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Each of my 3 probably go to the vet about 5-8x a year, easily. They love spending our money. Of course, part of this is bc I'm a worry wart - so I may go in more frequently than I need to.
