| My little guard dog.......not Brandi is so funny as a guard dog. She has absolutely no idea what a guard dog is supposed to do . Let me tell you what my little guard dog does when the doorbell rings. She gets the first part right. She barks incessantly to let me know there's an "intruder" when the doorbell rings but that's the only part she gets right. But that's about it. The next part is the funniest because while I am walking to go open the door, she carefully stays behind me while barking but she won't run ahead of me. Then when I get to the door, while she is still barking she is begging me to pick her up before I even open the door......go figured. |

| LOL! I know what you mean. Once I had a mouse in my kitchen and my little Cricket stood behind me and barked at it. |

| That is so cute, really has me laughing imagining it. They do think they're so big & bad, it just sounds like her wits overpower her & tell her to stay back-wish I could say the same about Princess!

YT 1000 Club Member | It's all in how you train them, Yorkies can be anything you want them to be. I have two, who'll start eating you from your feet upward, unless I call them off. I know that many may not understand that, but I've never been accused of conventionality. Yorkies are absolutely fantastic Guard Dogs, or, they can be !

| ha, ha, I can see that. My Hot Rod is the biggest, baddest chicken there is. lol He barks and barks and runs around and will "attack" but then run like the wind---the opposite way. lol As a pup, I made the mistake of bringing the trash can in while we were coming back in from a walk. Well, to this day, 4 years later, he still protects me from the big bad trash can. lol He will growl and woof and do the little run up to and away from the trash cans in the neighborhood on trash day. lol We've been trying to desensitive him and he's getting much better. We can roll it within 3 feet of him without him barking like a manic. And once back in place, he will run up and sniff it. lol
