| Wow... I just got blown away. Oliver has been a little champ all weekend and when we just got back from the store Oliver started barking when we walked in... well I guess that was the straw that broke the camels back for the bf... he said... ya know what... I've been pretending I like your dog all weekend just for you ... but I will be honest I HATE HIM. He has ruined my whole weekend and I hate him. He said he is crazy because he follows me everywhere. I am mad and sad at the same time. To be honest I think he is jealous and being a baby because Oliver does not want to go to him. Who knows... I just want to go home.

| Oh my. Being barked at when you come through the door is really not a biggie in the overall pic. My little Gidget gets excited when my husband or I come home and barks like a maniac! It's probably just excitement to see you. I'm so sorry your weekend ended this way. It seemed to be off to a good start, but maybe it's good to know now. You sound like a wonderful girl who is smart and has a great heart. I would start re-evaluating him and his personality traits. |

If he is jealous of a little dog how could you ever have children? I am so sorry this is happening but better to know now. Sorry, Jo | |

| Susan... thanks so much and I agree. He barked just a little bit and again... I have been so proud of him because I live in a house where we obviously dont have anyone on the sides or on top of us... here he does.. and he has adjusted super quick. He has had his belly band on and doing beautifully. David didn't want me having Oliver on the couch etc however when HE wanted to put him on the couch and he wouldn't stay he got mad. Is he that childish?? I not only see immaturity I see anger issues from the bf!

| Once again, I think it's the bf that has major issues and not Mr. Oliver. Hindsight, wasn't it the bf the snuck up behind Oliver and grabbed him when he was barking, and Oliver bit him? Yeah, I think Oliver saw what a jerk he is and Oliver, like most dogs, knew darn well that your bf doesn't like him. Gizzy and I are going to give you a pep talk, you will find someone that loves your dog just as much as you do and will understand Olivers past just like you did. I can't tell you how sweet it his to see my DH with Gizmo, it's like they're best friends. And you and Oliver deserve that feeling! Props to Oliver for tolerating him during the weekend and props to you for being a good Mommy. I'm sorry your weekend ended this way, I'm just glad you saw the problems earlier before they escalated!! Gizmo sends his kisses!

| I said it before, I will say it again. Dump the Boyfriend, and give Oliver a big treat and hug. You deserve better. Be selective. |

This guys does not sound mature at all and you can do much better. He doesn't know what he is missing on gaining the love of Oliver and you.

| Sorry things didn't work out for you and Oliver. It is a lot better to know now that your boyfriend doesn't like Oliver. I could never have anyone in my house that didn't like my dogs, they are better than a lot of people I know. Hope things get better for you, give Oliver lots of hugs for trying to like the boyfriend.

| Oh I'm so sorry your weekend ended that way, especially after you were so happy that it was going well to start with .Well, I agree with the others, at least you know this now. I personally don't trust ANYONE who's mean to children or animals at all My husband isn't exactly a huge fan of little dogs, but he'd never be that way because he knows I love Alice. He does let her climb all over him and give him kisses though .That would be it for me and hey, from now on, Oliver can be one of your assesment tools for future bfs lol.

| Thanks so much for all of the encouragement! Oliver and I are out the door in the morning! Ollie and are snuggling on the couch together... my baby has been so good and YES I am going to keep listening to him from now on! I had someone tell me one time that my "man radar" was broken... well I think Oliver is my new radar... and he's Dead ON!!! Thanks again for all of the support!

I'm sorry it had to go down this way, but I totally agree Oliver was definitely on to something with him. I really believe dogs are a great judge of human character.
