Wish Oliver and I luck.. we are headed to the bf's this weekend! So many of you were so nice to my posting about Oliver biting my boyfriend... well we are headed to HIS house this weekend. I will be anxious to see how Ollie responds to being in his home. Will the aggression still be there?? I am also anxious to see how the bf reacts to Oliver being in his home. I'm just disappointed in myself that I wasn't able to order his belly band in time to not worry about him having an accident on the carpet. Hopefully the weekend will turn out well!!! I will keep you posted! |
I hope everything is going well! Maybe Oliver wont feel so territorial since he's not on his own turf. Good Luck! |
Good luck! Hope everything goes well:) |
My Jada is very territorial here on her turf and when we go to visit at someone else's house, she doesn't even bark. I bet Oliver will do fine. |
Fingers crossed for you guys! Keep us posted! |
Hope every things goes good for you and Oliver. I see you are from SC, we spent our vacation at Litchfield at Pawleys Island for 15 years, love it there. |
relax... it will be ok!!!:) |
I agree, I would try to relax and have an enjoyable weekend. I'm sure Oliver is very in tune to his mommy's feelings. If Oliver does have an accident because he is in a different place, it won't be the end of the world. I know we worry about ruining floors, but children and pups get sick, have accidents - it's just par for the course. It's part of being a mommy (& daddy). I'm sure he will try very hard to be a good boy for his mommy. |
Think positive!! Oiliver will be fine. Have a great time!! |
In a pinch you can use an incontinence pad and an Ace bandage. Don't use the clips for the Ace bandage use a safety pin and don't make it to tight OR to loose. Then I'd put a doggie shirt on him and keep a close eye on him. But it can work in a pinch depending on the dog and how close an eye you can keep on him. Have fun, Jo |
So far it has been amazing! I have to give the bf and Oliver big props! Oliver and I were already there when the bf got home and there was NO barking from Oliver and the bf immediately got on the ground talking to him very sweet. OF COURSE... Oliver then did a major poop on the carpet with his tail wagging! I know it was excitment and nerves and the bf said it was no big deal. We all went for a long walk and David asked if he could hold Oliver's leash which I really felt is his way of trying to include himself in Oliver's care. I brought special treats that only David can give him and that has worked out great... Oliver goes up slowly but then takes it straight from his hand. So... no barking, no growling, and no biting!!! Great stuff! Thanks for all the positive feedback! |
