| I recommend to use a harness and a leash if you dont have a fence yard. You said you let the leash drag, I will just worry if he decidds to go on running and you dont notice and the leash get stuck on something. Just a thought. |

| A leash is fine. But use a harrness instead of a collar. |

| We use leashes/collars. I know thats bad, but with Daphne-our pom, we have always used a leashed-collar.. she only gets the collar on with the leash when she goes outside... she doesnt wear the collar around the house. Now wtih Taylah since she is so little I couldn't find a harness small enoughfor her right now, so she is also using a leash/collar. I never pull her on the leash by her collar or whatever, she leads and I have a small flexi leash for both girls and they lead.. we never pull on them either!

| i use both i have my boys walk rocky with a harness just so he can;t get an injury but i use a fancy collar when i have him out walking. i always have him on the leash. he can fit thorugh the pickets on my fence! he's 5 months and 3 lbs 5 oz. my friends bishon who is 8 pounds also got through my white picket fence so be careful even with the fences |
