| There is nothing more unattractive than a man who hates small dogs.

| Oh, definitely my husband has to love Tibbe. Tibbe is a member of my family and I love him with every fiber of my being. I could not care for a man who did not love Tibbe and all dogs as much as I do. The love of dogs is such a basic part of me that I would have little in common with someone who didn't care passionately for dogs and anyone who loves dogs adores Tibbe. It would be a total deal-breaker. I'm all in with Tibbe and my DH has to be, too.

| Avi doesn't have to LOVE my pets, but one of the major attraction aspects about him was that he loved all animals and couldn't be around one without petting, talking to them etc. All of his dogs were well taken care of and he was sweet to my dog Bella. I don't know if Avi "loves" Moshe. I think he prefers Rudy who is bigger (Schnauzer mix) and more active. But he always finds time to cuddle Moshe on the couch while he is home (he works away from our state most of the time)....he even finds time to play with the Cat and will even look in our my son's Bull Frog. Of course Bella is the Dog who is up his butt most of the time. I really think she likes him more than she likes me. A man who doesn't adore animals, would be a man I could never be attracted to.

| DBF and I were together just about 2 years when Roxie came into our lives. DBF grew up as a cat person, but I am highly allergic, so there is no way that was going to happen. When FSIL offered me Roxie, DBF was really not thrilled. He really didn't want us to have a dog. However, it didn't take long for him to settle in as Roxie's "daddy". He walks her more than I do, plays on the floor with her, takes her to the vet, takes her to the groomer, and sometimes just likes to take her to PetSmart. She, in turn, LOVES him to pieces. She will climb on him and lick his face for like 20 minutes. She will curl up next to him or on top of him on the couch...it's just adorable.

| My husband said we would NEVER have a dog in the house, He gave me my first Yorkie Tessie as a Mothers Day surprise 2 years ago, then he told me she needed a friend, 6 weeks later we got Hobbes. 9 months later we got Calvin, same parents as Hobbes. Needed to even out the numbers so a year later we got Sassy. 2 girls 2 boys. My husband just couldn't say NO and he spoils them more than I do. Makes me love my husband even more.

| Yes. The simple reason is that Tatiana is a dog-version of me. We are petite, have similar personalities, and we sort of look alike (like how some dog owners and their dogs look alike). Very often, when we go out, we are color-coordinated, too. (Tatiana's hair bow and harness matches my outfit. It's laughable, I know). If my S.O. loves me, he would love Tatiana. If he doesn't love Tatiana, well, I would presume he doesn't love me either. ![]() Incidentally, my husband adores Tatiana. He gushes over her, and calls her "a princess." And yes, he treats me the same way. LOL |

| My husband never grew up with pets, his first pet was an alaskan malamute we adopted while we were dating (my husband was 22 at the time) and he fell madly in love with our malamute, you couldn't seperate the two of them. However a year later our malamute became very ill and paralyzed and his health just kept getting worse so we had to put him down. My husband cried like a baby for his dog.....but since then my husband hasn't been able to 'bond' or 'love' dogs the way he did our malamute. He tolerates our dogs, and makes sure they are cared for but I dont think its because he doesnt like them. I think my husband is just afraid to form the bond and love he had with his first pet and get hurt when it comes time for us to say goodbye because we as people will outlive our pets. He adores our cat, but we've had her for many many years and she just kinda worked her way into his heart with time. He helps with our dogs (a boxer and our yorkie) but he doesnt 'play' with them like he did our malamute...but he does baby talk to them sometimes. I personally couldn't live with someone who couldn't stand animals and sometimes I wish my husband was the way he was with our first dog together but he doesnt hate animals, and he LOVES and ACCEPTS me knowing that there will always be animals in my life and I grateful for that and I just hope someday he can let go of the pain he holds from losing our malamute and can give that same type of love to another animal like he did Oso. |
