| Puppy Bumper I would like to start letting my puppy out in the backyard. However, I am afraid she will somehow find a way to escape through the fence. She is 6 pounds now. The neighbors have a pit bull in their backyard which makes me even more worried. I heard about puppy bumpers and was wondering if anyone has ever tried them. Their website is www.puppybumpers.net. If not, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to let her roam the yard without fear of her getting hurt. Thanks. P.S. I will be with her outside and not just let her roam free. She is my baby!!!!!!!

| What kind of fence do you have? We have a chain link fence and its wood in the front on both sides of the house where the gates are and she would have been able to get out but we put chicken wire on the bottom of the fence up to about a foot high. We also put the chicken wire all around the deck so she couldnt get under it and all around the bottoms of the two sheds we have so she cant get under there. It was a lot of work but it was definitely worth it she LOVES to be outside.

| We have a wood fence. I think I am more worried about the neighbor's dogs getting in than her getting out. We are going to Home Depot this weekend, so I appreciate all of the suggestions.

| We also have a pit bull living next to us and she would love nothing better than to have Scooter for lunch. We have a wooden privacy fence but the pit's owner has sunk metal flashing into the ground the length of the fence. This way his pit won't be digging her way to our side. There are times when the pit will simply start running the length of the fence while barking. At first Scooter got totally involved in this and would snarl and run and bark along with her. Now when Lexie (pit's name) starts her stuff, I simply say "inside" and Scooter runs into the house. I think you will be fine if you are with your baby when she's out in the yard. Scooter loves, loves, loves being outside.

| We have a chain link fence. When we first got Louie he could put his head in the opening,so we put up chicken wire. Solved the problem. First we had plastic construction netting, but we saw him starting to chew it, had to take it down.
