What kind of fence do you have? We have a chain link fence and its wood in the front on both sides of the house where the gates are and she would have been able to get out but we put chicken wire on the bottom of the fence up to about a foot high. We also put the chicken wire all around the deck so she couldnt get under it and all around the bottoms of the two sheds we have so she cant get under there. It was a lot of work but it was definitely worth it she LOVES to be outside.
