| Shivering My little boy Brutis has been doing this all day today! He has never done this unless he was nervous. He has nothing to be nervous about today as we are home and all is well. I have heard that this is a sign of pain. If he is still doing this in the morning...we are going to the vet. What are your experiences with your babies doing this? I'm really worried about him. He acts fine as far as walking and everything but he didn't come into the kitchen with my other two babies for a treat.

| Poor Brutis. I've heard too that shivering is a sign of pain. I would take him to the vet just to be on the safe side. Have you checked him to see if there is something stuck in a paw or something? I hope everything will be OK. |

| I'd check his anal glands if you haven't already. If you can't figure it out, I don't know if I would wait til morning to get him looked at.

| Yes me and hubby have checked him all over. Doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary except the shivering and of course the fact that he didn't come in the kitchen for a treat.

| Didn't even think about the anal glands! Can that cause them to shiver? I hate to sound dumb but he hasn't had them emptied in a couple of mths. I will check right now! And thank you!

| This may sound ridiculous, but is he cold? Have you checked his temperature?

| Just checked the anal glands and they are not swollen. Nothing wrong on that end! Yes he has eaten and drank today. Just now he went outside with my other two. I will for sure keep a close check on him tonight. He seems to be fine except for the shivering which has me worried! For sure....vet in the morning.

| If he didn't want a treat and come in around the other dogs, could it be possible one of them jumped on him for some reason? Just a thought. I know Tina doesn't see well and she will slap at the others and Dudley is afraid of her. Her nails can be sharp and he will run when he sees her coming. |

| Any storms in your area? Some pups get nervous when bad weather is approaching... You could try holding him in your lap. If he is cold, that would warm him up.

| I had to google it to remind myself. The AKC website says normal temperature for a dog is between 101-102.5. I like to check my boys when I think they aren't feeling well.

| I know you said no storms but could it be that he sinces something. My little Mandy that passed away in 2008, use to start shakeing before it started to thunder, rain or anything. She knew way ahead of time it was getting ready to rain. Hope you find out whats wrong. You sound like me. I worry about everything with my babies. lol!! |
