| ![]() Did you check his gum color? Pink is good. Also, does his tummy feel hard or painful? Does he look distended or anything?

| ![]() Yeah, you need to get that checked out tonight. Usually with a high temp they just want to lay around... very lethargic.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() If his temp is that high he needs to be seen now. I almost lost a yorkie years ago when I came home and found him acting strange. I took him to the vet and his temp was 105. The vet stayed with him for 6 hours (until midnight) to get the fever down. I hope you can get him seen tonight. Please keep us posted.

| ![]() His temp is at 103.7 now. What do you all think I should do?? It would break my heart to lose him. I have had him since he was 11 weeks old and he's almost 4! He isn't acting sick in any way, shape or form.

| ![]() Fevers above 104 can trigger seizures, so it's very important to get treatment meds to bring it down. A little alcohol on the ear flaps and paw pads will bring it down temporarily. Water stays wet too long and can cause chills and a too low temp.

| ![]() I personally would go to the emergency vet, but I'll admit that I'm a doggy hypochondriac. Maybe you can try to lower his fever by following kjc's advice.

| ![]() He's fighting off some kind of infection. Best to get it checked out tonight, or you'll have to stay up all night monitoring his temp every half hour and you'll probably end up taking him in anyway, 3 or 4 in the morning. Usually a temp that high doesn't just go away on it's own.

| ![]() We just went through that with Kayla over getting to excited at the vet's office. She almost goes into like a panic attack. Her fever hit 106 which the vet said was stroke stage. They began to bathe her down, body, tummy, paws with alcohol. Put fans on her. You have to get their little body cooled down. Personally, I would be on the way to the vet or Emergancy vets. Hope that baby gets okay. Kayla's problem they think is CT. There is a reason why that fever is that high. Good luck. |
