| ![]() Well, everyone pretty much covered the puppy aspect...may I offer a holistic approach for the strep throat??? Anyone can feel free to ignore the heck out of me, but have you ever tried tea tree oil? You can buy it at Walmart. I simmer a pot of water on the stove, I add a few drops of tea tree oil, I tent a towel over my head and breathe in the vapors 15-20 minutes at a time several times a day. When I have any head cold, stuffy/runny nose, congestion in the head/chest I reach for this. I call it my liquid gold because it helps me so quickly, it cuts my colds in half and makes me WAAAAAAY less miserable. It is a natural antibacterial agent...just don't drink it. ![]()

| ![]() Ugh! I hate Strep. I get it frequently (a few years ago I had it 3 times in one winter!) and it totally knocks me on my butt. I've been sick a few times since I got Roxie, and DBF has been totally great about making sure she is taken out or played with. When he is at work or out of the house, she will just curl up with me on the couch. I'm pretty sure she knows when I am not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon!

| ![]() Well thank you all for the wishes. I have been dying since I last posted on this!! I have been sick since Wed!! The night of 4/27 I woke up with a 101 temp throwing up! Since that night I have been throwing up off and on, with a high temp, pretty much dying. I haven't been to work either ![]() I still have some coughing and stuffy nose, and I am really weak. I have no energy what so ever! Pnut has been a lot better, he has been laying with me more, and he has been more relaxed. My Mom came the other night to bring me some 7up and she stayed for a couple hours whiched helped a lot bc I wasnt able to eat or drink anything until she brought me 7up and chicken noodle soup!! I think Pnut realized I was sick when he saw and heard me throwing up all night/day . I think I am on my way to recovery!! Thanks all for the well wishes!! You guys are the best!

First cuddle with Pnut and use it as a chance to master your doggie massage techniques. I had a concussion a few weeks ago, and kept Harley in bed with me, I felt horrible cause I couldn't do any training so I massaged him behind his ears most of the day. He didn't complain ![]() As for you... here are all of the things I would do when I was singing competitively and I got sick: - Steam - 1 pot boiling water in a sink, cover with a towel and put 2 drops eucalyptus oil in it. carefully stick your head under slowly, and add a bit of cool water if it's too hot. Just gulp in the warms soothing air, - teas are great... DO NOT drink lemon it dries your vocal cords and makes your throat hurt more... I had a professional vocal coach at explain this to us... - if you are just looking for soothing you can add honey to the tea or if you can tolerate it drink honey straight (but that may make you wanna throw up (this isn't good for singing, but I'm doubting your goal is to carry a tune tomorrow ![]() - Lastly if you're stomach isn't upset another soother that is good for coating the vocal cords is 1 tsp of olive oil in a bottle of room temperature water, shaken well (it tastes disgusting and only certain people can drink it on a good day, DO NOT TRY IF STOMACH IS UPSET) this is what a lot of professionals use in singing (another tip from the coach).

| ![]() So sorry to hear you are sick - almost sounds viral instead of Strep throat. Are you on antibiotics? I know the guilt you feel with the pup. I've been under the weather lately, and my new young dog makes me feel VERY guilty about walks and playing. The husband tells me she will be ok for a couple of days without as much attention. My last yorkie had a lot of health problems herself, so she did not mind sick days in bed. Hope you are feeling better! Stay hydrated - lots of fluids!! |

| ![]() deonk1- Thanks for all that, I love tea and have been drinking it. I have the Lipton cold brew yumm!! I will try some of those things bc my voice sounds pretty nasty lol!! gidget529- Ya I dont think it is Strept, bc my throat doesnt hurt, the pain went away but it was followed by throwing up, coughing, runny nose... fever. They did a culture to see if it was strept and I havent seen the results yet..

| ![]() So sorry you aren't feeling well. I would find his favorite ball, and throw it around the living room. Having him chase it all over. Wear him out. Then maybe he will lay down with you and take a nice nap. ![]()
